Hey whitey... where did you get those tires from? Im not having much luck finding a thin white that isnt 200 bucks or a small tire like for a car

Hey 65 Ford guy - Those tires are from the just run of the mill tire store. They are all season tires with the white wall. I think I paid 320 bucks for all 4 tires. The fronts are 205/70/15 and the rear are 215/70/15. Nothing spectacular just wanted a regular old looking tire.

The thin whites do not come in 225/70 but then they do at 235/70, not sure why but thats what I heard.

    Whitey,

The truck's lookin' nice, but it looks like ya' got pinkwalls on those tires.
Did you ask the guy mounting them to not wash the protective film off those stripes, or is that just the pic?
...btw, threw a little extra "light" on your pic and cropped it a little.
    Hope you don't mind.

Not the biggest fan of the "big wheel" look (although that's the nicest adaptation I've seen yet), but love that paint job, Hugo!

    Nice truck.

Ditto. That truck's off to a nice start.
Good to see someone using some taste in how, and how much, they lower a vehicle.
I wonder if someone couldn't just cut off the fenderwells that are inside the bed and fabricate "extensions" (like a short box with no top or bottom) that would allow for the amount of drop, then re-install the stock fenderwells, but on top of those "extensions".
Would also require a little cutting of the inside wall of the bed, where the fenderwell mounts, but at least you have some kind of pattern to go by.
As long as the tires didn't get too wide, that might be one way to do it.
Having a hard time picturing how good/bad either would look, though.

the floor was shot. so out it came. i needed room between the wheel wells for the C notch. so that was cut out evenly inside the bed crossmembers. then i cut out the back part closest to the tailgate because im putting a moon tank in instead of having the fuel in the cab. the cuts match the center ones. i cut the front out closest to the cab just so it looked even and because that had the worst rust

Mybe its just me, but you dont HAVE to cut the bedfloor out. I did a flip on the rear of my truck and did a small notch and have full travel, without cutting into my bedfloor.
The truck looks goofy right now though, I thought the front springs I had done would get the truck a little lower than it did. And I really need to order my drop axle.

what did you use to cut those out?? looks like good clean straight cuts.

My bed has more holes in it than swiss cheese... the back cross member has broke and the second cross member from the back is broke as well. when I say cross member i mean the ones in the bed not the frame.

My plan is to cut out the crap... repair or replace the cross memembers..
and fab up a subfloor and lay wood down.

If im lucky "toadfrog" on the hamb is going to get his kids at the highschool to do the metal work and straighten up the bedsides...not that I dont want to do it.. I dont have the tools.

That's just a little bit ridiculous. Just a little. Just a little tiny bit. Bitty bit. Little bitty bit ridiculous. Just little tiny, itty, bitty, little bit ridiculous.
