I saw 'em over 20 years ago, at the Dallas Brookes Hall.

It was like going to a rod run - so many others in the audience were rodders.

    Enjoy the show.

You guys Down Under are lucky. They're only doing one show in the States, and it sold out quick!

Why do they keep torturing us with these overseas shows?

Beats the hell out of me, but I wish they would get back to the States. I haven't seen them for over 20 years and would love to go to another concert. The current one is being billed as the Farewell Tour (both in Europe and in Austrailia). God I hope not. I'm getting to damn old to have to wait for the next resurrection!:D:D

They are playing a show here in Minneapolis, not sure when, tickets sold out in less than a minute. Another HAMB guy got tickets via Brian who now lives in Minneapolis...

What the hell is it with Setzer, he is more than happy to sell his albums in the states, Hell I even bought his Christmas album, and he's all over "House of Mouse"on Disney. what is he to damn rich to go on tour so his fans can see him.
If somthing doesn't change, nothing will change!!!!! and I mean it!!!

I have a flyer to that show...I think you gave it to me years ago. The numbers opened up for them at the Park Avenue Club.

I saw them in 1981 when they opened for the Rolling Stones. Great show and it made me go home and hand paint a Stray Cats shirt. I still have the shirt but my wife must have shrunk it cuz its way too small for me now.

One of my old bands opened for them in Perth on their last two tours to Oz (four shows total). Brian Setzer not only (along with Jim and Leigh) revitalized Rock'n'Roll/Rockabilly in the early '8o's but is a genuine gear head and a great guy to boot. One of the highlites of my life was taking those guys out on the town and jammin' in Brian's hotel room in the early hours. Yeah, talkin' cars while playin' pool and drinkin' Bourbon with Brian Setzer! I still have the sleeveless tour T-shirt he wore during one show, that he gave me.
Sadly for me, I won't be able to make the Brisbane show this time. I hope you guys have a ball!

The "Live in Paris" on youtube.com are fantastic! Lots of Gene & Eddie tributes, some of Brians best work on guitar.

  24. Due no shows in over 17 years here is Oz is being spoiled?

The Cats wont tour unless a promoter is willing to take em on. That being said, theyve been huge in Europe and Japan....Oz too, but lets not forget the dudes had to LEAVE the USA to get their careers off the ground in the UK, where Rockabilly never really died at all.

They could'nt even get a record deal Stateside till they left and made it in the UK and were signed by Arista.

The Cats will be playing in only the USA after this tour is over; Brian has made it clear that he' s had enough of living out of a suitcase and not seeing his kids grow up.

    And fair enough too.

Next Thursday for us up here in Queensland. Should be good, a bunch of middle age fuckers thinkin were 18 again. Last time I saw them they were supporting Jimmy Bloody Barnes at the entertainment centre. When they finished I reckon half the crowd left leaving poor old Jimmy alone. Although I here he is good mates with Brian.

  28. got my ticket for tomorrow night lookin forward to it.
