Comon guys, it is a sister forum with nothing but garage/shop info!!!!!

 

OK! I just went over to Garage Journal to give it another chance. Again, not wanting to offend anyone, but, with very few exceptions, all I saw were operating rooms with shiny new cars in them. Audis, Subarus, BMWs, Porsches, Mitsubishis, etc. No personality, no soul, no character, just shiny, newness. Very well organized, but not H.A.M.B. stuff! Sorry! Just my humble opinion. Now back to our regularly scheduled program!

 

Nimrod, I know you get sick of haring this but that is the coolest fucking shop ever....hands down. Love the new Dormer.

 

Thanks. That dormer will hopefully give me enough headroom to hoist things, and let me put some good old incandescent lamps in there....long live the incandescent bulb!

 

Here's my cave, 50'X50' with full kitchen and bathroom, gas fired radiant heat. We moved in last December. It's really my new business shop but I have room for my truck stuff.

Nice... Wood floors have a great patina... looks like many a project has been born there... very cool.

 

So busy looking at the car I missed that beautiful Knucklehead sitting on the bench... best looking motor HD ever made... sweet!

 

Here's where I hole up for the winter and work on my flattys:

 

Well, this is not even a shop, but had to suffice... just one bay in the garage for "my stuff"... has cable tv, heater (red unit upper shelf on right) and tunes... so simple as it is, it's my shop "area"

 

I built these digs about 4 years ago with a little bit of help from my friends and a lot of help from the bank.
It measures 25x50. The upper loft is used for junk storage and I keep the compressor up there.
Put A/C and radiant heat in plus cable
Comfortable place to go after work and on weekends.
The first 33 years in this house my cave was a one car unheated garage under the house shared with my wifes garden tools.
I used to keep my tool boxes and roller cabinets in the front dinning room.
My floor space companions were some interesting looking bugs and worms back then.

this be my man cave. keeps me amused. dont have a garage.

 

For now I only have this 12 x 20 cave. Once I become independently wealthy I plan to build a 22 x 28 shop on the other side of the yard.


Inside...


This summer I plan to completely redo the inside of the little garage. New wiring, insulation, drywall, workbench, storage cabinets, plus some much needed heat! I hate not being able to work out there in the winter.

Hey, Hot Rod Grille! You must get bored hanging out in that dull place! Seriously, great digs & more importantly, great ride! I've got a bunch of diner memorabilia. I've just got to clean my space & put everything together. I'll post pics when I'm done.
