I saw them walking around at Mooneyes being followed by a camera crew. Now I know what it was for.

  2. The casket wagon could have been left out but the coverage was good for the most part.

I enjoyed the program as well. Lots of HAMB folks and their cars. The Choppers did a great job of narrating the event and explaining the basics of hot roding to the general viewing audience.

Bet the guy in the POS Nova wished he would have brought one of his "other" cars that he has in his garage instead.

Damn I hope they re-run it. My daughter called me long distance just as it came on. All I could do was drool with the tv on mute and try to pay attention to what she was saying.

I seen it this morning and thought it was pretty awesome! I would love to head out to the Mooneyes Show!

  21. I caught this show yesterday and was thrilled when I saw my lime green '63 Falcon as they did a sweep of cars lined up. With well over 1,000 cars, i was really surprised to see mine.

I guess ill be the one that goes against the grain on this one. Total respect for the Choppers, none for the way Hot Rod TV put a bunch of BS in the episode. i.e. Acetylene shifter, casket, Rat Rod talk... Im over it. I AM stoked that they gave the trophy to Robert Lomas. He is very deserving.

For once a decent TV show and the car the Choppers picked was perfect.

I caught the show that morning, between trying to help feed my 1 year old breakfast and help my wife clean up my 1 year old's breakfast off the floor.

The Choppers have a good spot on the DVD "Back from the Dead". Anyone else seen this? I picked it up at Wal-Mart for $5.00, like I said, good coverage of the Choppers. The DVD talks a bunch about rat rods too, but is still worth the money. The whole ***le is hot rods, rat rods, and kustom kulture "Back from the Dead"...I think.

His name is Don and even though he is not famous he is actually a nice guy and enthuisiast. I have to admit he was honest in front of the camera when he spoke of building on the cheap. He once drove from his house to the hood to pick up a rear end that I had lying around. Price he paid for it was $ 0.
