What UNUSUAL Sign do you put on your car?

I make and give out a sign that says...
Dents, dings, chips and scratches,
real rods are driven.
FEEL FREE TO TOUCH THIS BUCKET!!
But be careful how you stroke another man's rod.

 

I had a sign on my falcon 'Built Ford Tough with Chevy Stuff'. Either you loved it or hated it ..........

I agree. What is worse the guy that has that sign and knows nothing about the car he bought, washes and waxes only and drives it only on the perfect sunny day. I went to a small local show and asked the owner a few questions about his model A. He didn't even know how big the fuel tank was. You can tell it doesn't get driven far. Oh well.

Just like all car guys, I have strong feelings for the vehicles I own or built. With that said, I've never been rude to anyone, even the tools that don't know jack from jackass. I've never denied a kid or that gorgeous mom a little alone time in a vehicle that really catches their eye. That's why we should be building or showing these things-to spark conversation and memories. I've had to do a little 'splainin before to a few hudlums, but did it very courteous-like. You've just got to remind yourself it's a piece of metal. The one's that flip out about this are the very ones that spent way too much money for someone else to build their ego-booster. I have a friend that has very nice Starliner and he just flips his lid if it starts spitting rain while on a cruise. I jack with him all the time and ask why he even bothers taking it out of the glass case it lives in. It just ruins his whole weekend and puts a real big smile on my face. These are material things that "people" built and are worth no more than the "people" that built them. And for the sign in the first post, this bum has his day coming. Or maybe he has no money for insurance since he spent it all on the turn-key vehicle he doesn't deserve. Steven

i came to the conclusion a long time ago that a "do not touch" sign on your car does absolutely no good . in fact , i think it makes them want to touch it more.

 

Absolutely. What HAMBer wouldn't want to talk cars? Who knows what bit of information, or parts lead or interesting bit of human interest you'd miss if you didn't care to listen?

talking to people at runs is how we get the word out and how we find new parts

 

people only touch it so other people will think it's theirs. If u owe something nice u should know better than to put your dirty ass paws on it if it dont belong to you.

 

My friend has a sign he puts in his window when he parks at the local supermarket. it says:

"I WILL BEAT U WITH A BASEBALL BAT"

Made this one after multiple offers were made on my pos that is not for sale. One guy actually got semi-pissed a couple of years ago at the Frog Follies because I wouldn't entertain the idea of selling it to him. Don't get me wrong, I love to talk cars and it doesn't matter with who, but no means no. ;<) Luke

A Buddy of mine Built a truck , realll fancy type dale earnhardt tribute SHortbed Chevy . In the Corner of the driverside winow was a sticker that looked like an alarm sticker , hardly noticable , But it read " WARNING , the national Association of Undertakers have declared that fucking with this truck is hazerdous to your life"

 

Absolutely! Once I got moved into my house 12 years ago, and NONE of the promised "help" showed, I vowed never to help anyone move, ever!

I got tired of the "IIFS?" shit, too, so I put a sign on my '66 once, waaay before the musclecar booms/busts, that said:

"Yes, it's for sale. One million dollars. You don't have it? Don't bug me, then."
