Projects First Project.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by TimHarrison, Feb 22, 2009.

  1. Hi, my dad just bought this body shell last night for a project for me an him to work on. Its an austin 7 ruby.
We plan on giving it a fairly sized roof chop and channeling and have got a great idea for the running gear. (I'm keeping that a secret! I dont want anyone copyin' our idea!)

I once read in a magazine, 'A Hot Rod ain't a Hot rod unless it imbarresses ya mom and annoys the neibourghs.' we plan to do both of these.
    Wish us luck!
    Tim

I love chopped cars, but personally, I don't think I'd chop that one.
    Have fun

  12. Brit cars are so cool. They make such great looking rods.
I've always lourved Thames Panels like the old Revell Model. Any kind of Morris or Austin.
    Have fun with it.

I would put a box inside the body for seat and see where you are to the roof before you start to plan chops. :)

I had a nice chopped Model Y but I was too tall for it. Didn't chop this one since I need the head room.

Chopped and channelled?? You´ll have to run along behind it, `cause there sure won´t be any room left inside!
