    68 ANTIQUE? JEZZZZZZZZZZZ! :D

I learned to drive on a 444 I've had several over the years but come on 1968 antique! or even a 65

I can't tell the number of jerks say 'Next year it's a ANTIQUE' Do help understanding that why they call toothbrush instead teeth brush.

    Please it's just OLD!!

For those of you kids living outside So Cal ....... There are so many Sweds working there they almost own the rod/custom business. Very talented guys

Antique is Real Old like way before you were born. :)

Had a couple 122s's and a 142. The 122 I used for road rallys. Was called OLAF the Slow. but it actually was quite quick. had a later model bored 1800 with some hwaders and head work.

  12. It's a 1967 P220. The boosted brakes first appeared in '67. In '68 they had side marker lights. This one has the later 140 series rear axle (Dana) in it with disc brakes.
I had a '65 as my daily driver for 20+ years. Bought it with 175,000 miles on it, just over 400,000 when I sold it. Still gets 35mpg. Seller's remorse.

BTW, those little aluminum Buick V8s fit in that engine bay real nice!

My first car (1969) was a `59 PV544 for $200. Eventually swapped in an 1800 for the 1600 and when the rust got beyond my skills I found a bad motor '63 122S coupe for $65 and plopped the B18 into that. That got a B20 swap and my first paint job July 4th 1976 while everybody else was celebrating the bi-centennial.
Loved them old Valvos. Like mini '48 Fords and shoebox Chevys. Wish I could find those old pictures.

There's a copany here in Portland that specialized in droppinf Ford 460's into Volvos. Always thought that would be a blast with the way my dad's Volvo handled... wonder if they are still in business.

    Well there is not one.
Volvo built this one called Duett since it had dual purposes.
It the closest you get to a station wagon.

The major difference is that this one got a frame and the 544 is unibody type

    They were called the Duett..

I think there was an ultra rare pickup version too but I could be wrong.
