Ahh the first ride. Mine was in my '41 Chevy Sedan the day a bunch of us were leaving from Orlando for the '75, I think, Street Rod Nats in Memphis. Like you it was up to the gas station to fill up the tank. Only problem was that when the tank was filling up it looked like a sprinklers system under the back of the car. Never thought to check the tank for leaks. We made it to Memphis with an MG tank thrown in the trunk.

Glad your first ride went better than that. Congrats. See ya at Billetproof.

    Congrats..

Mine took 22 years..until the first ride 10/2006. That first ride was incredible..and most every ride since..

    Enjoy everyday..

  17. Yup, It's going to be a theme car... big trunk full of crying kids, and one rhinestone driving glove and "Billie Jean" blaring from the stereo as I set up.

Awesome, it's a great feeling. Hell putting another piece of weather stripping in mine yesterday made me feel good. What's next? You know you can't stop.

  20. Weatherstripping? Is that the stuff that keeps the rain and fumes out?

Hey Mike, You know me, if you show me the line of good taste, and I'm going to cross it running and giggling...:)

Ain't it great to finally be able to pull out of the driveway and cruise on down the street? Sometimes the best view of a hot rod is looking down the hood while driving!
