I was a Sgt in the Army Sep 2000-May 2005. They tried to call me back on IRR to go back overseas with 5 months left on my 8 year contract. I fought it and got out of it, so no second trip to the sandbox. But the first one paid for my project, so I can't complain too much!

Played in the sandbox from March 2004-March2005
    Philippines Oct 2003-Feb 2004

U.S. Army 12B Combat Engineer 2002-2006. OIF 1 2003-2004. Might as well have been Infantry because that's all I did there. Made me wish I was smart enough to have either stayed in college or picked a better MOS. Oh well...

U.S.Army 1964 to 1967 Got out as a Spec 4 ,took Automotive Repair and Heavy Equipment at Aberdeen Proving Ground and shipped out to Germany with the 77th H.E.M. Co. in Mannheim and did Body & Paint work, the Company moved to Karlsruhe after a year and had to go back to my original MOS so rebuilt Carbs and brakes my last year,a lot of the personel carriers used AFB's and Holleys so got a lot of good experience to use later in life.Had a lot of good times in Germany and loved the Beer!:D The post I was stationed at in Karlsruhe has over 400+ members in Yahoo Groups, nice to be able to B.S. with some of the guys.

  29. That's funny but typical.
I work with a guy that had finished his 4 year tour. His commander didn't know and thought that he just stopped coming to work. A year later while asking about his GI Bill is when they asked him why he wasn't there.
