This one was given to me by my frend Bernie, I carry it in his memory, CIRCA mid 50s Portland Oregon.
I can't figure out what I am doing wrong...I submit and it shows a picture but if I leave the page and come back it is not working. The picture is at on my blog listed in my signature if this one does not work...can anybody see my pics?
It's showing on your last post and I now have it uploaded to the Dallas page. Butch: Your plaque is on a page for Ohio Valley and thanks for posting it. (353)
the veeblefetzers came from a antique/ junk store out in the desert. ramblers from a swapmeet. and the club i'm in the sdrc brass plaque
I've had your site bookmarked for several years, Bill. It's always a good time when guys stop by the shop and conversations turn to the old clubs. Been hopin' to identify some of the mysteries but nothin' yet. Many thanks for the incredible effort! Here's Vintage Tin outta Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana. Vintage Tin has been around since 1970. We have about 60 members (many are HAMBers) including two founding members. Here's a link to our website (under construction) with a club history, two years of newsletters giving a glimpse into the activities of a car club in the mid-70's (can be hilarious and marginally risque at times) and a sampling of members rides: http://www.vintagetin.org/
Bill, i've been sending you plaque photos for years. Here's one I don't think I've sent. It's a revived club here in Omaha.
Thanks for your kind coment. I now have your plaque posted on the Chicago Area page. I've also sent you a PM. Wayne You already sent me the Rebels plaque photo back in May of 2008 but thanks for posting it here again. Bill (368)
Not really a car club plaque but more of my shop "crest". Trying something along the lines of the the old Barris crest.
Thanks for posting the photos. I now have them uploaded to our car club plaque pages..... Buhl Castleford Do you know what MVTA stands for? I'm assuming it was a Timing Assn somewhere around Buhl. Bill (378)
Do you know if the original plaque had South Side on it or if it was added later? I have two versions of it ..... and Bill (381)
Someone already sent me a photo of your plaque that they took at a car show but didn't know anything about your club. I added it to the "No City Shown" page on our website but would like to put it on the right page. Can you give me a description of where your club is based? (I.E., So Cal, Ontario, Etc.) Thanks, Bill (382)
Ooops. I renamed the file and that's why the infamous Red X is there. I added the plaque from your myspace page to the Inland Empire page. (383)
Here is a picture of two club plaques I recently painted for a customer. The originals were silk screened on 14 ga steel. All he had was a scan of an original plaque. The club was supposed to have originated around 1954.
