    Great stuff, guys!!!

How about a little color on my Galaxie?

I'm considering painting it all one color and leaning toward a color similar to this Chevy and the steering wheel currently in the Galaxie:

  7. Does anyone use one of those mouses that looks like a pen? My biggest problem is using a mouse. Just awkward to use in photoshop or paint.

Malcolm, gorgeous picture in the salt! If someone doesn't beat me to it (they probably will with this photo), I'll try to get on it soon--really busy right now. Good color ideas, but PLEASE stay the hell away from the dubs-lame.

Thanks, man. ...and don't worry, there is no way I'll be changing the wheels! I just posted the photos for color reference.

Wow, that looks so good, thank you henry 29 for the photoshop, now i know for sure i'm going to have to chop er soon!

  11. Looks a little flat since the paint isn´t reflecting anything (except salt!)

  12. I only ever use a mouse. There are other ways to draw lines than just by dragging the mouse around.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned somewhere in the wayback pages but, if anyone gets their ride photoshopped here and uses some of the ideas in their build/repaint/whatever, could you post them here so we can see? That would be great:D

That fuckin' rules!!! Thanks a ton, James! I need to figure out some way to repay you for your effort.

I hope to have the Galaxie painted by May and will definitely post a photo of it on here.

    Nice work, indeed!

    The line tool.

  18. This looks cool, looks a lot like the chop that Keith Dean did on James Hetfields 37ford.

    Hi -

Would someone please show me what a color change looks like on my truck? I am interested in a white firewall with either this green color or this copper color on my truck. I'm also open to other ideas...paint is going on late next week. Thanks!

(The last picture is my lame attempt in Paint.)

Wow! Some of the stuff on here is amazing... Here is one for you Photoshoppers. I am looking for a flat paint job. The 3 colors I am tossing around are Burnt Orange/Copper, Midnight Blue, and Black (remember Flat paint). Also, I have shaved the door handles and removed all of the chrome (except grill). I am thinking about painting the grill to match along with the center caps on the wheels. I will also be lowering it 3" and tinting the windows all around. Is this too much? Thanks!

  21. For some types of work it is faster and more accurate to use a graphics tablet. This lets you use a stylus (like a pen) to draw on the surface of the tablet (like a sheet of paper). They're not absolutely necessary but a lot of people swear by them. But then a lot of folks on here are doing some beautiful work using only the mouse.

Using Microsoft Paint for this kind of work can be pretty limiting too, but you don't need the full blown high dollar version of Photoshop either. PS Elements, Corel Paintshop Pro or even ArcSoft Photo Studio, used with just a mouse, will give you better results than Paint with a graphics tablet.

Also in full PS, and maybe in PS Elements (the stripped down version), look for the "masking" tool toward the bottom of the floating tool bar. Just hover your cursor over the buttons till you see the pop-up that says "edit in Quick Mask mode". This might be an easier way for you to make more accurate selections using a mouse instead of a graphics pad or tablet. Don't know if Corel's or ArcSoft's programs offer this as an option.

  22. Thanks, that's what I'm talkin' about. I think this stuff is amazing in the hands of somebody that really knows their shit and there's those on here that really do.

THANKS, James D!!!! That gives me a much better idea of what it will look like.

  25. Anyone want to screw with this??

I am in the process of building this into a gasser. I would like a straight axle front slid forward 2" with fenderwell headers and chrome wheels with wide whites. On the rear, back wheels and cheaters.
She would like to see the top black or silver flake.

I know this is alot to request but I have seen some amazing skills here and would love to see this.

    DRuss32 did this one for me and did a fine job;
