Is your 25 louver hood one of the Rootlieb reproductions? I know they aren't "PERFECT", as in exact, but I intend to use mine and carry the shame that goes along with it despite the purists ridicule. I apologize if yours is one of the origionals, if so your a lucky man. At $3-4,000 on Ebay for a REAL one a reproduction is as close as I'll get.

  5. Very nice Mike and the congrats on the new baby. I was down there last week and left a message with you but I guessed that you were pretty busy. I should be back down there in a few weeks and will call you ahead of time next time. Keep the updates coming and at this rate you should make LA roadster show no problem.

I have a Rootlieb hood. No way could I afford an orginal one. The way I see it, you won't be able to tell the difference at 80 mph!!

I have been working on the grill shell. It is a repo and really needed a lot of work to get it to fit correctly. Hope to mount the hood hold downs today. Next will be block sanding.

nice man. Wish I would have had that much time after having our first child. My wife had PPD and I could barely leave the house let alone go out in the garage. Build is bad ass and i'm so jealous of all the projects sitting outside. I have dreams of moving to AZ but don't think its going to happen.

My wife was lucky with the pregnancy she had very little difficulty. She is great, she is always telling me I should go work on the car. Maybe she is trying to get rid of me!!!

Been working on the body. Got the moldings and dash painted. Almost ready to do the final prime and sand.

Your progress looks great. I'm trying to find time to work on my '32 Tudor project. How much chop did you do? I'm planning on 3.5" at the rear and 4" at the front, laying the A post back slightly. Keep the updates coming.

The chop is 3 inches. I am tall and it is about all I could get away with.

Your dad is a very nice man. I enjoyed talking with him. I will be going to the Roundup, just not this year.

Gathered up a bunch of stuff to take to the powder coater today. They will coat it cheaper than I can paint it! Will post pics when it's done.
