hey LocoBreath, I can't tell from the profile if yours is a cannon-ball? Also, didn't that mill (twin6) come in some 48-54 coe's? Is that the original placement for such?
    Looks great in there!

No, not a cannon-ball, just a standard 1 1/2 ton 350 series. The V12's were only available in trucks from '63 to '65, but there were a lot of them sold for irrigation pump engines as well. This old truck was originally 248 inline six powered.

Looks good. Do have one question for you. With the motor set that far back, what is the length of the driveshaft?

The d-shaft is 14" long. It has bolt in yolks on both ends and I re-used the slip yolk portion of the original shaft so it shouldn't bind with suspension travel.

Thanks. I hope to be able to shorten my 89 chassis to let me run a 12" d-shaft. I figure with the number of leafs in the rear springs, the suspension won't have a lot of travel.

I like that chopped windshield look. Are you going to do your current COE the same way?

No. I did that one because there was a serious rust issue at the top of the windsheild. I always regretted not chopping the top instead of "cheating" the way I did.
I have thought about chopping my new one, but I want to get it mounted on the new chassis, get it up and running, then I'll give that some more thought. I also want to chop and section my 50 pickup. Once I get my 55 Gasser finished,I'll choose the next "victim". It's all fun
(and great stuff thinking about in the meantime).

What can you tell me about this one? What frame and suspension does it have? Where is the motor located? What is the wheel base?

Interesting COE's but this LUV truck definitely doesn't fit the "Traditional" rules of this board.

Here are two new pictures. The 65 Ford tail lights I got from enjenjo are started. I have a pair of 7 inch LED lights coming to adapt to these lenses. I have the dash started and changed the seats out to a pair with out head rests. My purchase a the Kazoo swap meet.
Probably no progress this weekend. We are headed to Freeport, Illinois to pick up Reds 40 with new paint!
