Are there any good hang out where the hot rodders get together and bull **** or hand out in the off season?
There was a drag strip down by Atco lst time I visited in 1995. It was very busy. Seems like they ran a lot of street cl***es.
Where and what is franks garage? franks garage is where we hang out in north west jersey, just a small backyard shop where the cold beer flows and the hambugers-hot dogs are hot off the grill.
Well.... I guess now is as good a time as any to tell. I have been waiting to announce as I needed to get more details finalized before I could share. I've been working on this for the last few months and it is now starting to solidfy enough to let the cat outta the bag... I guess. I was really waiting for art work to be in place before I announced it. I took over operations on the old 1/8 mile track at Englishtown Raceway Park. Unfortunelty this all came about too close to the season and we did not get all the dates we wanted for this season coming. But next year... will be all out!!! We are building an old barn and or an airplane hanger....still in works, but will be ready for the 1st shows to start in May. This building will act as our bar. We do have a liquor lisc. and you won't have to drink in a cage. We are building a drive-in movie screen for Friday night movies, bands, bar is open, food, etc. Sat's will be filled with various events. Old time swap meets.... not weed wacker parts and dolls. Bands, foot stompin bluegr***, old swampy blues music, garage R&R, I have two outside stages. Movies on Sat. night as well, when it gets dark! Drag racing....for street cars only this year. This is both good and bad... Bad that we can't run all out dragsters...yet. And good... that we can run our cars instead of sitting in parking lots showing of our stuff. A real, run....what ya brung! I will be running the 1/8th and all that goes with it on Fri. and Sat. nights... 9 weekends this summer, almost every other weekend. July 25th & 26th is the usual Raceway Park Old Time Drags. On Sunday July 26th, we will be running our 1/8 mile at the same time the 1/4 mile is going off. 60's and 70's funny cars and other stuff over there... And diggers, G***ers, and old style hot rods running all out on the 1/8th. So much more to tell.... but I gotta run. Vintage bike drag races and swap. An all out Customs show for you custom guys. T&A flatheads only show,swap, drags,etc. A king of the street comp in the begining of the season and end of the season. Cool vintage jacket for "King of the Street" to wear. Claim these streets! So much more.... some top secret stuff in works as well. We are taking the East Coast back! No more parking lot hot rod shows, it's time for action!
dirtyest devil sounds like you got a plan there. drive in movie screen? outside stages for bands? action after dark! may I ask how you got around the neighborhood watch group? seams like the neighbor's would rather shut down e-town instead of letting them make money or add another show. Yup, there will be a website! Website will consist of schedule of events, directions, and we have a little radio program happening too. Not up yet... cause I **** at this kind of stuff. Been busy painting everything! When I'm not working on my 32, I'm painting! These are the 1st signs I did... I have about another 100.

Actually... there is enough property out there that they won't here us. Neighbors only here the straight pipes of the wild stuff. The track is grandfathered in on Wednesday nights for practice, and Sunday for comp. So all the real action goes down on Sunday... I will be running the Fri. nights... Just hanging, drinking,usual antics, etc. And Sat's we can run anything muffled 24hrs... but it needs a muffler. Even something completely insane... with a muffler, can run by law. We could drag on Fri. as well... but I picked that night to be mellow, a hang out spot. Sats will be filled with all the action! As of right now... there is nowhere to hang. When me an my buds get done building cars...there is nowhere to test run em, nowhere to cruise, zero action. So this will be a mini City of sorts... with all kinds of action! For sometime now I have been bored with car shows...no offence, but they are boring...even my own. I just like the drive to and from the show, and the swap spots. When I started going to Sweden and Germany was when it clicked. We need shows with action! Just let me get set up... then the **** is really gonna hit the fan.... the good ****! The owner is super cool too, old pro skater...so we get along just perfectly. So you may even see a ramp sometime soon, me and my old Casino Sk8 Park pals have been talking, hahaaa. I got this great guy Walter out there too, he has been sleeping an breathing this stuff his whole life. He is stoked that we are gonna run only old stuff on our 1/8th... and Im glad to have his expertise. Man, I just can't wait for the swap meets... my favorite time! Galloping Hill on Monday nites 6-8 ish. Some of the club members and guys who attend the Monday nite cruises during the summer get together during the winter. It's a good chance to hang out, have dinner, and kill time waitin for the warm weather to get here. Dave

north west NJ no one is more north west jersey then my garage 5 min from NY 5 min from PA. so where about are you located?
E town 1/8 weekends sound great...It'll be good to beat up on my street cars for a change...Good Luck !!!
