Here's my hauler/daily. Took me a year to find one that hadn't been converted to a flatdeck or dump box. BBC/4L80E gets the job done...

It gets 26 MPG highway and low 20's around town/climbing the mountain.

I set it up with a 200 ford inline 6, a 3 speed and 3.50 gears. It works really well but definatly isn't a speed demon!!!

The engine has the stock 1v carb but I added a header and 2" exhaust to help it breath a little better.

The truck weight just under 3,700 with me in it.

  5. I still like the late 80's early 90's custom look on this body style Chevy or GMC truck. I had several different trucks like this back then. Had one almost exactly like this but with the smaller factory sport mirrors that came on the 454 SS trucks. I'd roll this thing all over Austin TX. :D

Heres mine, a 65 Chevy 3/4ton long bed Custom Camper Special with factory air. It has a 350 Chevy motor, 700r4 Trans and 3/4 Disc brakes and power steering from a late 70's truck.

This was my DD/Bike hauler for 5 or 6 years... '99 Dakota.. Its since been retired to sitting in front of my house doing nothing, It sucks gas, and Hauls ass.. and when the high octane prices went up, its service went down. Has the V6 swapped out for a 408" EFI V8, had N20 for a while.. and all the other visual upgrades. Capable of low 13/high 12 second Quarter miles. Currently for sale.

1979 ford F250 supercab. 460/auto. 140,000 original miles. My grandpa bought it new and gave it to me last august. It's had a camper or towed a fifth wheel since new.

See my album for my 36 roadster pick up. No, it doesn't haul much wood. The 53 was a firetruck.
