How'd you get the insides to look cast like that?

 

any more details on the rear suspension? radius rods? panhard bar? shocks? thanks.

 

You could probably get the same effect with a drift and a hammer

I can't give away all the tricks man, sorry.

 

I guess I haven't thought it all out yet, I need to figure out the space I have to work with. The springs will be outside the rails to fill the gap between the Body and tires. Shocks will more then likely be fabicated friction shocks and if there is room I will triangulate the upper link to eliminate the need for a panhard bar. this thing has a tiny ass.

This is a 1918 buick roadster. The car it came from is still around as a stripped down vintage circuit racer, no pics of that tho'

 

Is that a different cowl or is that the original? The back of your body is just like mine but the cowl is completely different...

I always thought it was a 1916, but I kind of picked that year out of thin air.

 

I found this on net, the guy says its a 22, got a squarer back and different screen, tho mine not fitted yet. I guess the body evolved over this period

Dale Fairfax found out that Buick used the same body from 1915 through 1925, but I still don't get it because that 1918 looks just like mine (the rear portion) but the cowl looks like the 1922. I think I may have a mutt....Hell, I'll just call it a '32 Ford!!Ha!

Man, we are busy'r then we have ever been and don't plan on slowing down anytime soon, we are getting ready for the Roadster Show and will be vending this year! Taking a rolling chassis we have been building (the Y-block) and hamb member -Brent-'s frame and delivering it to him on the way back, plus a ton of parts hoping to come home empty.

I have no new updates to this point but plan to get back on it after the show.

Beautiful and very unique car! I do love the look... my only thing is I don't really get slamming these roadsters. I'd imagine that's gotta be a shit ride hitting everything, and the point of that bad boy is to go fast! As long at you're having fun!
