I got it today, and I already found a set of torque thrusts.. might pick em up.. ive never owned a four door car, checked this out, and it just sat right with me! dont worry though, i wont be posting a "four door thread" hahaha. Drove it home almost 200 miles, and the car had never been on a long trip. everything works from lights to locks. all glass is good. need to patch the bottom of both fenders, but thats really it for rot! mostly surface rust. going to keep it simple, keep it sleeper. got the 6cyl badges on the fenders

That's funny. The title of this thread is what I tell people about my truck. I call it the "Millennium Falcon Syndrome". The car is cool as hell. Drive it like you stole it.

Since you asked........... It is neither a *rod* nor a *custom*.....and certainly not traditional in any way.....this is *supposed* to be a forum about traditional rods and customs.....it may be a fun car for you, and that's fine.......but all it is to me is just an old rusty clapped out Chevy II fordor........have fun with your old car.....

I keep forgetting that every car/truck on this message board started out in perfect condition, and was custom from the factory.

Bitchin Man! I'd keep the wheels you got though. Torque thrusts would probably fight the funk that thing's got. Love it!

Sweet! Looks killer as is, don't mess with success! I wouldn't do the patch panels either, it will mess up the patina.

At the most maybe add some vintage worn SS hubcaps or dog dish chevy caps.

Add the torque thrust.........they will be a nice contrast to the 'paint'. Does it have front disk brakes? If not, I suggest installing them.
I have a '63 Nova 'vert and the disk brakes and CCP sub frame has made a world of difference in the stopping and handling department.

had a chevy 11 in highschool 327 power

did a lawn job at 3am highschool principals house. buddy bumped the shifter into neutral, engine red lined, car sunk in fresh sod..........principal came running out of house in briefs with golf club in hand !

We all got busted and expelled from school. i had to work all summer to pay for his lawn, Dad sold my car.

novas remind me of that place in time

nine inch, 456 gear, muncie 4-speed sleeper would be the balls man !

since it had a V 8 swap Or was it a 283 car. You can decode it at novaresource.org and see. I boxed the lower control arms and went with all poly bushings. front ends are weak on those cars . I would put it in one color but thats just me. And I would run thrusts they are great looking wheels.

awsome .... great to see another great piece of machinery

  27. Ya, rodding has nothing to do with swapping in a bigger motor and skunking others by leaving on the 6 cyl tags. 350's can't be traditional either because they didn't show up till the '80's right? (insert sarcastic look here.) Luke

  28. Nice score by the way. Keep the steelies. Most importantly, have fun. Luke

YES it would fall under hotrod catagory because of the cubic inch upgrade, makes the cut-off year at nostalgia drag meets. gasser reunion etc.

if he slams it, performs body mods with crazy custom paint, it it will qualify under custom status......argue all you want....it is what it is gentlemen.
