Hot Rods My hot rod got alittle ink in Hot Rod Deluxe Magazine

Well, Brad Ocock (Brad54) here on the Hamb contacted me about doing a feature on my hot rod in Hot Rod Deluxe. He came out and did a photo shoot the day before thanksgiving. So I waited for the issue to come out. I didnt know exactly when it was to come out but all I knew was I should start to look for it around this week. Well I took my car to the Detroit Autorama and I was standing there starring at the 6x2 set up on Littlemans truck and a dude walks up to me and says "hey is this your car in this magazine" sure enough it had came out the day the car was at the autorama. Couldn't have been better timing. So I looked and looked for an issue and it turned out the magazine vendor right next to my car had 6 copies and I bought them all. So check out the newest issue of Hot Rod Deluxe. It also has a story about how they just found Gene Winfields old shop truck.

 

I just read that article today. Good for you man!

 

I'll pick up an issue and take a look. Sorry I missed you at Autorama. I wanted to talk about the '55 t-Bird you have. The fellow I was with had to get home so we left early on Thursday and I didn't get back.

Congrats bud! Well deserved, the little roadster is awesome. HAMB member Kirk Hanning also has a feature in that same mag shot by the HAMB's very own Mike the Photo Guy.

 

I told you Detroit was gonna be special....glad you had a great time and now got a great magazine spread to go with it! That is a cool piece of history.

 

Thats awesome! I could only hope my car was chosen for a magazine spread! Not to many big shows in North central wisconsin.

I read the article and its awesome to find a true "vintage" rod.

Hey thanks guys! I just took a copy to the original owner Steve Warling. He was pretty suprised and couldnt wait to show his wife of 48 years, who he dated in that car. And I guess its not really MY hot rod, Im just the care taker.
