Hey all, Here are some pics for ya finally... i been workin a lot on Carburators lately... i think i know them inside out blindfolded now after doin 5 in a row here. Heres some pics of my carb rebuilding, and of my Mill all sittin pretty ... thanks to Dickster27 for all the advice and guidance!! Disassembly begins... After sitting for a couple days in the cleaning solution i like to call my "carburator Stew" Spend some time with some scotchbrite and buff pretty clean. All masked and ready for a coat of Carb Renew from Eastwood. I love this paint, perfect carb color. Heres a shot to show the stages of clean..haha... first on left is non cleaned, then after being dunked a couple days, and then after i painted with Carb renew. The finished assembly with an old one to show the difference. And now for the pics of my MILL... all polished and assembled!! '66 Tempest, 230 OHC Pontiac mill, with homebuilt intake and exhaust. It has a bunch of wild internals from Primatech Motorsports and has been ported and polished as well. Every bolt is stainless and has been polished, and the oil pan was even bodyworked, cut and polished then i striped it. Enjoy!!
Oh baby! Oh baby...Gotta love an inline Pontiac.. Now put it in something and go out and jump on those Chevvies. Nice work, -Abone.
Good to see someone using a overhead cam Pontiac. I had one in a Tempest in 1966 with a muncie 4spd and posi rear. It put the hurt on a few SBC's and Ford Mustangs. Keep us posted as it gets finished and in the car. Frank
That is cool as Hell, got any idea what the horsepower might end up being on it when done, and what kind of trans. are you running.
Ahh, I knew it was a Pontiac. They're the only inline sixes I've ever seen with a polished aluminum timing chain cover.
