Quick Question Does any body have Photos or information on this Sidewinder my dad ran it in 1962 and 63 at Ramona lions bakersfield march meet meeting its demise at ramona at the end of 63 in a top end crash he said they hack sawed the motor and axle took it home in the back of the 55 ford push truck and left the front half in the ditch.

Pete Everitt was part of the So-Cal scene beginning in 68 or so. Starting with Pete's Chevron Firebird flopper, and culminating with the car you see above. He did well in qualifying in the weekly 8 and 16 car opens; here in So-Cal most all the shows were of this nature as there were more then enough local racers to assure a good turnout and not requiring a booked type event.

This was still an era when guys like Everitt, a gas station owner in this case, could survive the weekly fuel wars on one motor, a few spares, 2 pals helping to wrench, all being caravaned about the local circuit in a van and crude enclosed trailer.
