I'm getting ready to build this one, and was wondering if anyone has any other pics. Got it from UncleScooby awhile back, and I'm collecting ideas and parts to build it. So far, I have a 331 hemi, kelsey hayes T-bird chrome wire wheels, a ford Meteor grill (think baby merc), and a bunch of odd taillights. I've seen a couple on here, but I'm looking for all the ideas I can find.

Here are a couple more pics I found here on the HAMB. Hope I don't piss anyone off by taking their pics. Especially that big dude!

An excellent suggestion when you screw it up:

  7. Here's a suggestion for ya. When ya section one remember a little is a ton. Get some straigh on side front and rea shots, print 'em and take the scissors to 'em.
I'm real big on sectioning but you have to be careful with it. One can get way out of proportion real fast.

BTW a shoebox coupe, no that a real sweet starting place. I wish I had one to play with.

Porkn******, luckily, the one I'm working with is already chopped and sectioned. I just need to finish weld it, resolve front fenders and some stuff in the back, and do the garnish moldings. I have a spare stock coupe if you want to buy it and play along though.:D

Brandy, I'm mostly looking for ones that have been chopped and sectioned. That cuts it down to just a few from what I can see here. Thanks for the pics, tho. All shoebox pics welcome here.

  9. Afraid I'm out of room right now. Ya wanna trade for a '62 Belaire post car? :D

If you look around I think Bob Bleed (if I remember correctly) had one that waqs sectioned a ton about 3 or 4 years ago.

Nice one, twochops! Any idea how much it was chopped and sectioned? I think mine is 4 inch section and 3 1/2 inch chop.

The one in your second post is mine, old custom, started, (around '69-'70), and never finished, chopped 4 1/2", sectioned 4", B pillars slanted, rear window section moved forward...

MrG***er, you need to finish that one. Even if you probably won't fit in it.

Twochops, do you have any more pics of that black shoebox. Especially the back. I need to finish the trunk area on mine where the section hasn't been resolved in back. I'm thinking of maybe a rollpan.

Great minds think alike Randy. Junk ****er I hope you're 5'3. I looked at your ride before I/drew started my project. You might want to try some seats in the car before you get too far on your project. I couldn't sit up straight in the car without hitting my head on the roof. THat's a true bodybag you got there. Heres a couple of pics of mine, plus a randy avatar shot!!!!

Nice ride, modelAfan! I really like the WWW's with those wheels. I can't wait to put those chrome wire KH t-bird wheels and WWW's on mine.

I'm only 5'6, and I do upholstery for a living, so I can make a comfortable seat that's only about 4 or 5 inches thick. If that's not enough, I'll fab up 4 bucket seats like the early t-bird, and sink 'em into the floor a couple inches. I agree, though, that tall p***engers will be miserable.

I think you're right about the bumper. I almost forgot I have a pair of '51 ford bumpers and rear bumper guards and crosspiece off a merc. I think I'll use those things.

6foot4 240lbs meanmuggin ya. The bodybag, is a 3.5 inch chop 3.5 inch section with a 2 inch channel. I've got plenty of room. The shot of me is sitting in the seat for superdope mockup mode. Do search for bodybag! check out the build pics. Drew Didio of Suicide axle hotrods did all the tin work. The floor channeled over the frame is amazing to look at. He does amazing work if you need a little help.

Guess that means I could channel mine 6 inches!:D I'm still checkin' out all the cool stuff on your ride. What's the grill off of?

Brentthebarber, where did you get the fender skirts? I'm torn on whether to put skirts on it or radius the rear wheelwells. Maybe I'll do both if I can find a way to get skirts on it after a radius.

THe grill is a cal custom part welded to 50 ends with the turn signals cut off. slick. I liked the look of the Dunn Valley custom grill. Drew made it look easy.

Is that grill old stock, or do they still make it? I've got a grill for mine, but I'm just curious.
