Not gonna flame, but am going to ask a really practical question:

Why would you want to flake this, if it is actually an off-the-road jeep?

To be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, to spend the time, money and effort to flake this, erm, um, "thing" (as you put it), would be a waste.

One chip and you're back to the drawing board. Obviously, not as bad as candy, but still. . .would flake "hold up" given what you plan on using it for?

Sorry, as a grrl who's just spent hour after hour after hour after hour gettin' her car ready for paint, and who's just flaked her roof, I don't quite "get" why you'd want to do this when the "use" of this, erm, um "thing" doesn't lend itself to flake. . .

Pass me a cup of coffee. It is too early for popcorn.

you would see ALOT of things that would make your head explode....

for instance i can point out 5 rigs with over 60 grand spent on them..
although i cant do that but i personallyt have a rig sittin in my shop that has over 120,000 bucks spent on it......
now i do think this is rediculous ....but i like the cheaper is better rout..

Again, not my ride, not my $$$, not my effort, not my time, etc. . .

So, opinions and assholes being what they are. . .

I'd personally put all that time, effort, money into the 46 Dodge truck.

Save the flake for where the good lawd intended it to be.

Agreed......close it already and take your crawler to a crawler site. Now if you want your 46 photoshopped then by all means post away.

welll i am on quite a few crawler sites i have asked for the same thing.........and didnt like the ideas they had..............

since i thought you guys...being more intune with flake paint jobs and how they should look... i would get a way better idea of the way it would look...

but since all i can get is a bunch of nothing i guess my hopes where way to high.................[IMG]

maybe if it was a riding mower, mail box, toilet seat,or tennis shoes i would have gotten a better response from you socalled gear heads....

im personally know as a gear head that loves anything mechanical and would never rag on someone that has put unknown hours and money into something that they thought enough of me to ask for my advice or help on something.
but it seems that what i though was my FELLOW HOTROD BROTHERIN seem to like to rag, bash or what ever you want to call it, on something instead of just lend a hand when your asked for it.....I THOUGHT THATS WHAT IT WAS ALL ABOUT.....OR AT LEAST THATS WHAT I WAS TAUGHT.

i would hate to see what would happen at a show if you guys saw a rod that didnt fit your molds or ideas of what a rod should look, ride or sound like........:(

now if you think this thread should be deleted buy the mods for asking a tech question the so be it .......

I don't see what all the hype is about. The problem is not in the paint, it's those big ass tires that are killing the ride. Drop it down 4 feet, throw on some reverse chromies with wide whites and you'd get you photo chop.
