Customs HAMB Merc Club! who's in?????

Not really diggin the skull,in the back window,but it's a real nice car! I want a stocker SOOOOOOOO bad!!! What else are you planning on doing to it?

Thanks Bob I just finished the interior and put new black carpet in it with black and white tuck and roll seats. The door panels are also black and white. My plans for now are just to drive the hell out of it and fix all the things that pop up as i go. I just got it running right, it was overheating without the thermostats so I put new ones in and its running right again. I have been really looking forward to taking the kids for a ride since I recently installed seat belt. If its a nice day sunday I'll take her out.

What do you guys think would look good on her or what should I do next?

 

I'd ditch the visor, shave the hood and trunk and if you got the time...Change the Color, Black Primer is played out! Do up a nice red or Orange Suede or maybe two tone it with a Green suede bottom and an egg shell white top!... A little pinstriping wouldn't hurt nothing either. Just my.02 cents

 

Lets see some pictures of your new interior . Who did the upholstery ? I like the paint . Your car looks great black . What do you think about re-installing the rear door handles ? , or is that something you did ? Just me ,,, I like 51 four door Mercs with all four door handles on them + Unlike 49 handles , nice 50/51 door handles are available . You need 51 license plates ! Find a set of clear 51 plates (Do a YOM) It's the first year for that series , they're black and will be killer on your black Merc. These plates can cost a few $$$ So do your research . If your going to buy a set ,, Call DMV yourself and make sure the plates are clear before buying them. http://www.darrylsplates.com/ will make almost any plate look new but ,, he is extremely slow . It took him a year to restore my plates. I would only use this option if you find a set of dented up clear plates for near free ( Like I did ) Try to only buy plates you can see in person , pictures can hide a lot . Depending who's at the counter , DMV sometimes won't YOM beat up plates. ( They did 4 me , before the restoration ) Here's a picture of a 51 plate , barrowed from a ended auction .

 

thanks for the feed back.Iwas thinking about shaving the trunk but the emblams are growing on me so as of now i dont know what im going to do.As for the being black i think its going to stay that way for a while till i get some more money and really decide on a colore.The plates i have been wanting for a while they just cost alot of money and coming up with that kind of money right now is not easy.The interior was done by me its simple but at least i dont have to look at all the boards any more ill post some pics soon.Oh and as for the pin striping sounds good just have to find some one to do it.

I think you should ask Bob , first HAMB MERC t-shirt idea was something he hinted about. You know what they say about to many cooks in the kitchen ! Lets see what he comes up with.

I was gonna make the first shirt with my Merc on the back,and HAMB MERC CLUB,on the front. No HAMB logo.

This was just my first idea. As far as i'm concerned,it's open to anybody's ideas. I'm sure that some of you would want something more neutral,and not my car on it. That's okay with me. Why don't all the members put their idea on here and we can vote on what the majority would like.
What do you guys think?

Maybe we can come up more than one shirt...My buddy is AWOL right now,so I might need somebody else to make the shirts.
