    well poop.

I can think of about 65000 folks who would have gladly taken his place....

Damn. he was just getting started.

  9. Not ashamed to say I'm sitting here crying. That young man brought out the best in a lot of people. I don't get up on the HAMB much anymore and it is a damn shame that this is what I see when I do sign in. Godspeed Andy and thanks for showing us what spirit really is!

    My personal thoughts....

What a great little Hot Rodder.
You just had to know him guys...to see the excitement in his eyes while we showed him how something was done or why things worked a certain way...how things fit...welding...bodywork...
He wanted to know so bad....
EVERYONE who sent a part, a card, cash or whatever to the build or for Andy himself...I guarantee you he appreciated it.
You guys and gals are awesome!
You made a difference and brought Andys dream to him.
We don't all get our dreams.
Andy did...and made friends with many many Rodders along the way, both locally and internationally, AND got to own and drive the Flathead AV8 Hot Rod he envisioned...at least for a little while.
Without the HAMB and the many HAMBers who helped out...that would have been impossible.

We wanted so bad to see Andy out and cruising this summer. ...
I'm so sad right now after getting the news this afternoon...but on the other hand so PROUD to be a HAMBer...like Andy.

God bless you Andy...and keep the pedal down.

As much as it hurts us to see Andy go, it's tempered by the knowledge that where he is now he is whole and he no longer feels the pain....

I hope For Andy and his family that his last moments were at peace.
His affliction is one which will strike horror into the heart of any parent( and it appears to be a child cancer) and with this in mind I would suggest any parent take the time to visit the Chordoma foundation in the US and see what is being done.
Thankfully the New US President has enough nous to allow scientists in that part of the world to now partake in stem cell research ,research which the rest of the world knows is necessary to fight cancers of all forms and eventually rid the world of terrors such as Chordoma.

In the future we shall see that the suffering of children and young people like Andy will be a thing of the past.

as an aside, all medicine should accessible to all ,not just those with the wherewithal to afford it.A thought to consider .

We send our deepest sympathy to the friends and family of Hambandy.

What a brave soul he was and so loved by the members of this magnificent forum whom he loved in his turn. In my Heaven he is riding the clouds in his heavenly hotrod which appropriately is a duplicate of his earthly one, but faster.

To all of you who gave of your time, your love and your labors to ease his pain and help him enjoy his final trip to the Heavenly Gates I say what a great thing you all have done in service of humanity. These kindnesses touch the hearts and minds of all who know them and will never be forgotten.

And so, farewell young man and to all who knew him shout!

Wow, I was always interested to hear how Andy was doing. This is a huge loss for all of us. Even though many of us never met him, I am sure that he inspired a lot of us to be better people. R.I.P. Andy!!! I know you are bangin' gears in Heaven already!!

Well... What can I add that hasn't been said? Not much..
I will say that I believe we are all better people for knowing Andy. One of the pictures that was posted a while back hit the nail right on. The picture was of Andy by HIS hot rod. The grin on Andy was priceless! All you guys did a hell of a job make'n his Hot Rod dream come true and giving him something to smile about, that my friends is what its all about...
    RIP Andy
