I never met Andy. But, I can tell you that my life was bettered just having read stories about Andy. We should all aspire to have live life like Andy and have such a positive impact on others as Andy did.

My heart goes out to his Mom and Dad. My daughter died in 2005, so I can understand how they may feel. I don't think my wife will ever recover. Just try and remember that no one can change what has already happened. We all have a chance to change our future each day. Try to get your chin up, and better days will come.

"I've always hoped he'd pull through and sit in tears as I read this. I could never imagine their loss. My prayers will shift from get well Andy to get well Andy's family."

    Well said.

I'm away on vacation and popped in to catch up and saw this. Sure changed my focus.
    So sad a time.

PoppyPaul... please let us know if there is anything "we" can do for the family.

Wish I could have met you, Andy. You were an inspiration to a lot of folks and could surely have taught many of us a thing or two about courage and perseverance.
Keep the pedal to the floor up there.
