i dont know what ever happened to it, but i know my dads got the rear deck lid off of it though.

 

In Nagle's pit, I see Taylor Reed..friend of Dave's & Troyer.smart guy..we drag raced him....(many moons ago..Dave too.)

 

How did Wayne Reutimann survive that wreck if the roll cage and roof were sheared off??? amazing he didn't lost his head! You can still see part of the roll cage there, but he had more then a roll cage protecting him that day and if he missed the next race due to going to church....YOU CAN'T BLAME THE MAN!

Hey Emil, George M or Brian; who was the guy at Islip back in the 60's that would throw Drakes cakes from his car as he entered the track for his heat or feature?

 

A fellow modeler on another site is building a 1/8 scale version of this car.

 

Rusty, do you have any other pics of the '36 Chevy? I need reference for a 1/8 scale build of this type of coach modified.

 

Drakes cakes? I honestly don't remember that. It sounds like something only Axel Anderson could get away with, but I don't think it was him because I was a big Axel fan!
