1954 Ford Ranch Wagon. I just took delivery of it. Many changes to come but here are the first pictures. The reason for the switch from roadster to wagon...
I think I saw this wagon on SPEED channel today during a show on the Russo & Steele auction in Monteray. It was sitting in the backround while the announcers were describing a Ferrari that was going up on the block. Same car???
Cool car. Thats a whole lot of skins in that interior! I love that color combo...Silver and Red.....i will be ordering a Porsche in that same combo....someday... Steve
Oooh. Shiny! I'd drive it. Till I popped open the hood and found that @#$*&ing SBC in there.... EDIT: FedEx delivered that? I didn't know they dealt in car transport.
I had to use some kind of a Prefix for the ***le per Ryans rules and Project was the best one I could come up with. The changes will be to "un-street rod" it as much as I can...add Wide Whitewall's, remove the third brake light, replace the Billet steering wheel, remove the modern stereo from the dash, etc.
my buddy has a 53 Ranch wagon and it's an awesome car. nothing like a long roof to keep your stuff safe and dry.
Dig the wagon. Nice third brake light too! ha ha. The interior looks pretty nice from what I can see. I've always loved ranch wagons. I had a 54 myself for a month or so years ago. It was a rusty pile of junk from Michigan, and I sold it pretty quickly.
That is very nice. Congrats on your new purchase. The little one already looks like she thinks it's cool. G***er Girl
Cool Wagon man i like it. best you remove the existing tyres if you are to replace them with white walls by turnin the old ones to smoke!!!!!!!! we want pics!!!!!! good luck
Thank you! I wish it still had the Y-Block. It has a late model injected 5.0L. Your painting is hanging in that garage. I thought you could catch a glimpse of it in one of the pictures but I guess not. I'll go back down there and take a picture of it.
Very nice! Nicely built car. I saw some of the build pics too. I tried to buy that one when it was on eBay this past summer. I was in contact with the guy who won it on eBay too. Apparently he was a friend of the builder. He got a great deal on it. He contacted me when he put it back up for sale, but it was a bit out of my range and my plans had changed. The only things I would have changed had I bought it was removing the 3rd brake light and changing the wheel & tire combo. Enjoy!
Love the wagon,,,someday our 54 ranch Wagon will be back on the road,, It's been in the wifes family since it was new,,my wife (when she was a child) and her mother,,,HRP
I have to ask: Did you sell the RPU? I love that RPU. Like the wagon too though. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Danny, that photo is priceless. I bet they never dreamed when that pic was made that the car would someday still be in the family. JH
I agree about HRP's picture. I did sell the RPU. I loved it too and I was glad to see it at Blackies this year. I sold it to Al Engel in California. He has a m***ive collection and will be, and has been, a good care taker. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep the roadster and buy a family wagon and right now the family wagon was more important so my family could participate. The pictures may look differently but those aren't my cars, that's my dad's garage.
