I live not far from his shop in the San Fernando Valley and had planned on stopping in to meet him at one time, but I waited too long.......
When I was born I was brought home from the hospital in a '60 Desoto. I learned to drive in a Plymouth Duster. My first car was a '69 road runner and I currently have a '70 road runner that I have owned for 26 years. I have owned nearly 20 mopars during my life so far. I'm looking for a 55 or 56 Plymouth for my next project. I think this qualifies me as a Mopar guy.
I had forgotten this, but now that you mention it, my first drive was in a '65 Plymouth Fury. Maybe that's where the preference came from?
i am mainly a chevy and ford guy. but anyone who has stood on a throttle and felt the rush is a mopar guy! those cars were born to race.
I've talked to him on the phone a few times regarding the 318 Poly blower manifolds he made from cut down Weiand 7503s. Great 'ol guy! I'm disappointed I never got to meet 'em in person! ~Jason
Yeah, I got the disease. Lots of Mopars over the years. Wish I still had some of them. Moved to the dark side with afOrd powered T Bucket but my Model A roadsters gettin a 318 and 5 speed
I HAVE A 50 PLYMOUTH MORE DOOR,BIG TIME MoPaR NUT! Check out my pics at www.myspace.com/moparhillbilly she still has the stock flattie in her.
two 69Plymouth Fury 2doors (one hardtop and one sedan) now I'm resurrecting a 61 Falcon Gasser with a complete mopar powertrain
I got one a 1967 Chrysler 300 2dr 440,727 trans.original drive train has a 68 hide away headlight package
Reminds me of when I was a kid watching an old farmer with a 68 Chrysler Newport with a 440 TNT in it suprise the hell out a guy with a Z/28 chebby out front of our house! The Camaro was going to hole shot the Newport on the right from the stoplight. By the next block the Newport had about 3 cars on him! Turns out the old man knew the farmer and told me about the 440 with the TNT logo on the air cleaner.
whats a mopar? hehe mopar fanatic over here in this corner hiding ... 47 fargo peekup with 354 hemi that i am working on at the moment.
I am so sorry my wife has a 6 cylinder 65 Mustang parked next to my 30 Dodge 5 window hemi coupe and my 28 Chrysler touring car.
YOU'RE sorry, 30dodge? Are you ready for this?? I hope you're sitting down and not in the middle of sipping a drink, but SOMEBODY dropped a small block Chevy in this nice, innocent little AWB Dart!! Blasphemy!!!
It was supposed to get a 440 but instead it got a 383 SBC that was sitting around unused, at least for the time being. So the story goes. It was supposedly lettered and displayed on the main floor of the SEMA show last year in Vegas.
Garlits next to your car! That's better than it being covered with naked ladies!...............OK, I'm exaggerating. It does look like it just rolled out of the showroom.
I'm a mopar guy...through and through! In other words...I've sliced myself on all manners of mopar metal!
