    How cool is that Skylark?!
I'm pretty sure the Peanuts car is just sporting 15" Astros......cool car, ugly, cheap wheels for a funny though.

    I love Thorley's Corvair funny, the Dow7 Halibrands......yep, that's cool.

Im going to have to check with Pat, Wayne and the Chi Town conection, But Im pretty sure that 442 Olds body is sitting on the near twin - sister ch***is of the worlds most famous Flopper - The 1969 CHI - TOWN Hustler....only copy ever made back in the day.

Notice the offset driver & offset engine.
    Swing axle rear
    & unique front suspension.
Even the Lee Austin Aluminum dash.

Ausome Historical photo - way to go Hamb'Er-Z..!!!

Since this topic is "OFFBEAT", here is another "one-off" at the time, 1968 OCIR, MFG Meet. :(

A guy here in town has one of the Buick funny cars. I think I heard it was one of only two. Its the same body stile as the one in your pic not sure if its the same car though.

Not trying to be a smart ***, the Dunn and Reath car was mid-engined. One of my favorite cars of the era, before NHRA made "different" or "innovative" illegal.

Freddy Neely from GA bought this car from Pulde, and Clayton Harris and I worked with Freddy in 1990. It was a cool body. JC

I was actually going to ask if all flip bodys were gl*** or did they ever weld metal ones together. At least I now know there was at least one! Thanks for clearing that up.

The Body from an old VW Funny is at the shop.
It orignally was ran by Peek Performance as "Becky's Joy"
We started a Bonneville project with plans to use the body, but later found it
to be modified beyond what the SCTA rules for Coump Coupe would allow.

    It's a good conversation piece, but I thinks it's time for a new owner:D

Haven't noticed a post of Al Vander Woudes "Flying Dutchman" Charger III. Definitely different! Not a very good photo.
