    I got the rear sanded up as well as got the front suspension on today.

    There's one fatal flaw. It's coming out too good. I can predict the conversation you're going to have over an over at the show: "Like hell you converted a 2 door sedan, you just cut some holes in the corners of a real Vicky! Why'd you go and cut up one of those?!?!?"

    I got the bottom corner made and tacked in place.

    I also got the rear end in enough that at least it rolls.

    Sure i've actually wanted to do a 32 vicky conversion. im sure it would be lots easier than the 33 vicky conversion.

    Everything is looking great! Nice work!

    I see that you're using clecos and clamps to hold the panels in place, are you welding the panels flush with each other or are there flanges on the back side?

    I finally got the vicky where I want it for the show this weekend. From the right side the conversion is about 90% complete. Enough for people to see how it will look.

    Looking real good. I do believe the 32 is easier only because the beltline is less complex.
    Questain thou if you don't mide giving out your "speed secrets". It's interesting that we both used almost the same precedure except I see you worked from the top down, reason for that? When I did my 32 Vicky conversion I went from bottom up simply so I could reach the bottom on both side to hammer and dolly as I welded. I knew I couldn't do that once the top (beltline up) was on. How are you reaching the bottom, ovoiusly your working the metal out down there.

    Oh, yeah be prepared at the show. I had my 32 in one in bare metal, had people actually call me a liar. Even with the build pictures they insisted it "couldn't be done".
    I didn't let it get to me, in reality it stoked me ego a little. Kinda feels good to be in a class that can do what "can't be done", doesn't it!

    I think I see what you are saying. I removed the rear section of floor. That way I had complete access from the bottom.

    A metalmans metalman is what you are. Only saw a few like you in my 78 years.
    Question-Are you using a gas welding or tig or mig?

    I saw the car at the autorama on sat. It is beautiful work! I pointed out to the kids the before pics and the weld seams on the body to help them understand the amount of work involved. It's coming along great!

    Here are some pictures of the Vicky at the Autorama. It was a good show. I had lots of interest in the car.
