History Drag cars in motion.......picture thread.

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by Royalshifter, Dec 12, 2007.

  1. This is Phill Bonner's '65 Falcon the first time out. He was match racing Ronnie Sox at Cecil Co. Dragway. The car wasn't even painted yet. Phil told me he had scheduled the match race well in advance expecting the car to be done. When it wasn't finished in time he had Holman Moody put it together unpainted and he went to the race. After the race he went back to H & M and had the car painted and lettered. Ronnie won the match race that night but I'm pretty sure Phil ran more mph. Once they got the Falcon to leave it was real tough to beat!!

Wow! Skywolf, you are just rippin' up this thread! Great work. Same to Dog, and all the other MVP's of the thread (we all know who they are!). This is easily the greatest thread in Internet history! KEEP IT GOING!

this was one of the fastest injected alterds ever, capable of qualifiying in an open blown show. Eventually, the promoters banned the injected cars from attempting to qualifiy, and their own injected circuit surfaced
