It was Wayne, the car next to it was our car the 2H Mert Hulbert. Mert said he was looking at Wayne as Wayne bent down to unhook his harness, there was a huge crash
and the top of Waynes car was gone.

Well ... OK for the first try, I guess. Now to figure out how to get something bigger than "thumbnails" ...

I've been looking for a good picture of Bill Strosahl, either in the McClure 15 or posing outside of it? You have anything for me? I sometimes get confused...is it Strosahl in the 15 or Graeme Bolia? Is it just me?

Oh Pete! It must be terrible to be so young! LOL! I'm not talking about Sonny Kozelas' Woodchopper 15 out of Rhode Island driven by Fred DeSarro and Bugsy Stevens. Bill Strosahl and Graeme Bolia were from upstate NY and also drove a white # 15! They were always front runners at Lancaster and Shangri-la and were strong runners at Langhorne!
And anyone who could race at Langhorne is my hero!

When I was a kid, I always dug Graeme Bolia's #15. Powered by a big lock Ford too!

I'm with you on that one! And I'm no Ford fan! But definitely a Bolia fan and a Strosahl fan. Now if I could only find a good picture of Stosahl and the McClure 15.

Not a Ford fan specifically, I like 'em all. I didn't know anyone other than Bolia drove that car. I remember going to Langhorne when I was a kid and seeing the 15 up close for the first time; what a great piece! To me, that car is right up there with Charlie's coupe and Bodine's Valiant on the "Cool Meter".
