WOW! Great job! That car is so shiney you won't be allowed to drive it on a sunny day!! Thanks for sharing.
Wow thanks for the comment guys its appreciated, Project is on hold at the moment as i need to finish my 32 roadster (pics here for those that are interested http://rides.webshots.com/album/551832694OXeiHX ) This should be done around March time so i can then crack on with the T, I have a few unusual idea's for it. Cheers Steve.
Finally got round to polishing the engine mounts today. Got lucky at our March swapmeet and picked up a pair of Impala rear light bezels that i've been looking for over the last 12 months (thanks 58delray) I've fitted them with dual 59 Caddy tail lights, should look cool lit up on the rear panel Took them to the chromer next day and he said he could return them to show quality despite them being quite pitted First job was to drill out the old bases. Next job was to remove all the sticky out bits. Next some simple brackets were made up after shortening the stud posts the thickness of the bracket material. The lights now fit in the bezels nice and snug and nice and deep The LED's aern't staying .
Wow.... And I thought your '32 was amazing...this is a whole new level of cool.. The stainless frame is going to be sweet!
I always wanted to use the Delray tail lights on my roadster. Yours looks great as well as the rest of the car. Awesome!
I think I will use your pictures on the computer as background, those welds are superb. added subscription to this thread Best regards sir.tooby
wow i dont even know where to start, both cars are amazing the attention to detail is great i really like the fake rivets its all just great, amazing work.
Was playing with colours a couple of days ago, I was looking for a burnt Copper flake, anyway i came up with this colour so tried it on my Caddy valve covers (I chromed them first) as a test. What do ya reckon ??? media blasted Epoxy primed Painted
Langy amazing work! i love your stuff. Say, how do you polish your stainless it looks so damn good...!?
Thanks for the positives, I think they came out pretty good too, They need a bit of flat and polishing as i did them outside as a test but they came out so good they won't need any more lacquer , i'm using the colour as the main colour for the car but with a off white firewall and underside and a white diamond tufted roof panel and a white interior.
Thanks for the kind comment, I have a polishing machine that i rescued from a college closing down, i use a red compound i got from my polisher friend it gives a brilliant cut and also gives an excellent shine, i then finish off with white compound. Unfortunately the guy that supplied him with the red compound died recently and took the makeup recipe with him Any tough stuff i pass to my friend as he's a very good polisher and excellent plater.
