What she looked like a few months after I bought it and renewed the stock suspension and added new shoes.

What she looked like completely undressed.

How I've been driving her for the last 2 years but with the styleside longbed is back on.

  10. OK...I finished my re-paint job last weekend. It is definately SILVER now, painted the wheels last week and had the tires mounted last Friday. My home computer crashed during that time so I have been unable to take pics of it or post. This picture was taken with my sons cellphone. I'll try and get better shots soon. What do you guys think? It is growing on me....once the paint cures I'll add some pinstriping.

  12. Thanks, I may add some of the thin trim rings. I like the ones Jesse James uses on his 36. Gotta figure out who made those, most trim rings dont do anything for me, bu those do.

Hit up "wheelkid" on here... he and his pops sell the old Cal-Custom styled inner trim rings.

I like your new scheme, but I can't figure out why......................

  15. Wow, man I looked all over the HAMB for a silver F-100 and never saw yours and if I had I would have been more sure about doing it. Several folks offered something close, but nothing as close as yours. Doubt we'll ever run into each other unless you come east, or at best if I ever get to Austin for the Round-up. Thanks for the info.

What size tires do you have? I am trying to decide what size to put on my 54 F-100. Also, how low is it? The truck looks awesome. The black steelies and wide whites look awesome.

Here's my old '60 Effie, and what I wanted to do to it (thanks to Customcory) It would have been done up as a 60's custom, with a 303 Olds and hydro for motivation....I miss the old gal.

P.S. If you see any Caribbean Turquoise soup cans you'll know where they came from...

  22. If you go back to page 33 of this thread all the info you've asked about is there. The truck is absolutely as low as I could go and still be driveable (most folks probably would not be willing to scrub body panels like I am, RR crossings are a bitch). Anyway, thanks for the compliment I am glad you like it.

  23. Thanks for the encouragement, I am getting alot of mixed opinions. It seems most non-traditional and non car people who have seen it liked it better black. I definately needed a change, I just hope the sun doesnt kill it like it did the black.

Cant wait to see some good pictures, I dont think you can loose on steelies, black, red, green, purple as long as the color goes with the paint job

Ok guys I have a question... We foung a 54 f-100 thats been sitting in a garage for 20 years. The guy bought and started taking it apart to make a hot rod out of it and lost interest. I went with my buddy to look as he wants a shop truck and I do all his mechanical stuff so id have some work to do .. The guy said he wanted 2k and my buddy offered 1800.00. This thing is very solid although it needs some work but what doesnt.. All the stuff is there for it and if its got any rust its minimal and from what we saw it was just in the running boards... Should we call the guy and go with the 2k hoping its still available? If nothing else we would get it back together and flip it..
    TIA
    Dave
