The car reminds me of Paula Murphey's STP Mustang

The Mustang is The Tonti Metal Craft Mustang. I was in the tower at KCIR during its last run. The Trans blew-up at the finish line and it hit a light pole. the driver was Ron Umbach. I had a small peace of the body but I gave it away. 1970 http://www.70sfunnycars.com/FunnyCars16.html

The Willys P/U belonged to Gene Conway. He sold it in 1966 to make way for the more famous MGM Austin P/U. The Willys ended up in the hands of Gene Hicks and Son, who raced, with a shortened bed, in local So-Cal AA/GS circuit until late 68. It then went out East to Paul Day who ran it in BB/GS until crashing it shortly after 69 Indy meet. Day won class at Indy in the truck, besting nearly 12 other BB/GS cars! Ironically, directly above this post is a color shot of 2 Anglias staging at Lions. In the far lane is the very Anglia that Hicks ran to replace this very Willys P/U.
