WOW! There are some AWESOME Shoeboxes on here! I'd post a pic up of mine, but it doesn't look worthy enough haha. In due time!

I have a 49 and it doesn't run, pretty much is just sitting there until I can find a job!!! It's probably not the best time to be building my first car, but whatever, I'll find a way to do it!

    Again, sweet lookin rides, everyone!

Now i just need to figure a color, I have changed my mind so many times its not funny, i kind of want to do a flat sublime green with black wheels and wide whites, but i just spent a large amount of cash sandblasting the stock wheels and painting them a nice bright red, so i think im just going to have to stick with flat black and red wheels with wide whites, for the time being in a few years i want to get it all painted, but i just cant right now i just want to get it finished and drive it

I hope to do it properly this weekend!

Also, what manual 'box do you guys think is best to run behind a 289? On the cheaper side is better, guess I will also need a manual pedal box too.

We had a big wind storm here a couple weeks ago & I almost lost the 49! Considering what could have happened I'm OK with what did!

  26. Have to sell my son's Shoebox. He's got to have a daily,he can leave parked at school and be there when he comes out,LOL!!! So i'm selling it to buy something else for him and a Hotrod project for me,hahaha. It's been a great car and have put about 30k miles on it in 4 yrs. He hates to get rid of it but he knows it will just trashed at school. High School kids are so jealous of people with nice or different cars. I'm gonna miss it too!

I wish thats all that happened to mine. The roof of mine is caved in from a tornado about 18months ago when the car traveled 80ft in the air. The windshield header is pushed in about 2" and the rear is pushed in about 2 feet starting at the top of the rear window pinch welds. Its almost the width of the roof. Fortunately I found a new roof a couple weeks ago, so the top will be chopped/repaired with the new roof.
