For you folks that actually have your cars ready for Roundup:cool: and enjoy Warbird Airplanes, the Highland Lakes Squadron of the CAF is putting on thier yearly Show....This Weekend:eek:...as in Saturday!!!
As last year, we will have "special parking by the Static Birds out front" for Hot Rods and Customs from the HAMB. Several of you made the nice drive out last year. Get there earlier than noon and you can get out by the planes to check them out. At about noon, the flight line is "sterilized:eek:" of folks to make sure that no one gets hurt by a prop or such stuff, in preperation for the Airsho that starts around 1:00. It costs about 10 bucks to come in(and it goes to keeping the ol birds:D in the sky)

Hope to see some of y'all out there

Come early and park your ride at the Bluebonnet Car Show just about one mile north of airport (Air Show) in Hamilton Park. It's FREE and first 100 get a goody back and a free cap. Visit a while and leave like we do at about noon and go to air show...

  4. I always drive out to the San Marcos Airport to cruise by the CAF Hangar to check out their cool ****. They had some belly tanks sitting outside for a while.

Well, I've got to fly there....maybe during the show....and then back home:D.....OH, that's probably not what you meant:eek:. This Airshow is more "organized" than the Kingsbury gathering where you and your daughter got to go flying....as in "temporary flight restrictions" during the show....all fun, just different rules for the Warbird contingent that the show is based around.

Dangit, Ryan....I was hoping to see ya again, out there:(.

For those of you who make it, come into the front gate and tell them that you are with the HAMB and parking is around the Static Display Airplanes that are close to the road. There is at least one spot that is an "easy ramp" to get onto the gr***, far end of the parking lot.

Way too much cool ****. That's why i'm getting married in there this October. Gonna be good times for sure.

If the doors are open poke in and ask for Mike "Coca Cola". He's been at that hangar since he was in service and put together the museum in there. Has a story about every object in it and loves to tell em.

    Well,
Right now there is an opening for helping with "CAR" parking....ask for Robbie, if you want to volunteer(partial day)...sorry for the short notice, but if you want to be a help next year, you would be more than welcome! Lets talk about it the next time we meet up.
