If I'm going to ride something that's not old it's not going to be slow, heavy, and ill handling. Hence no Harley for me. Unless you have a '65 pan for me. My 20 year old Ducati fills my needs nicely. Air cooled simplicity and weight savings. And I don't pucker up when the curves come up... :D

I wish I had a triumph bobber though. I wanted dual purpose though and this was the best thing to have. Some of you may say its not a motorcycle but it sure can white-line better then a Harley:D.-Weeks

    I have a '42 45" and building a new motor with a KR upper around 56 cubes

I'd frequent the Jockey Journal, if it had a 64 cut off too, but i'm really not into block head wanta-be bobbers

  10. That attitude stinks. Many of us over there would love to watch your progress on such a cool motor!

    I haven't ridden in a while. :(

I was changing the couch cover out to a new one in my living room, threw it over a toybox on my fireplace so I don't look like a daycare, and snapped a pic of the '63 Honda Dream in my living room.

I've been thinking of trading it for parts...

Put this 61 pan together in '69, my son there is now 45! Stroked it to 88 inches. Still have this bike:

And followed up with this '59 pan in '70, it's 93 inches, still have it too:

Also have a '91 Sturgis 50th anniversary model (FXDB), the wife mostly rides that.
Yeah, hot rods and hot bikes go together.
Don'd let anyone tell ya otherwise.

I have had one Triumph, 2 BSA's, 1 Norton, 1 Indian, 1 Vincent, 1 Harley, 2 Kawasaki's and 2 Honda's spanning over 48 years. All gone now except the 2 Honda's, both are 1975 Gold Wings (first year) one in red and the other in turquoise. Both are dressers, both in storage. Have enough trouble get in and out of my 34 let alone swinging my leg over a full dressed bike.

It was fun in my younger years, don't do it as much these days.:(

My PC incorrect Chiefs the 46 has bonnieville cams and the 40 has a lumpy set of ollie cams. The kickstarters confuse the younger crowd not to mention left hand throttles and right hand spark advance and a foot clutch. First time I drove a foot clutch I kept telling myself 'driving an old truck' over and over to remember the foot clutch anyways it worked for me

Here's my XS 750 Shell-Hoos Yamaha Flattracker. It will have a front brake and lights, but thats about as far from the racetrack stuff as its gonna get.

By the way... The Jockey Journal is a joke unless you ride an old Harley or Brit bike.

Been riding bikes of all kinds since i was 4 years old...been on Harley's since 1989 and still have one today, although i do not ride as much since my cancer ride the past several years. I agree i think cars and bikes go hand in hand... All but one of our club members come from the Harley scene.

3 65-67 Super Hawks, a 62 CL 72, two SL 350's, a couple of CBX's, a Benelli mini bike, a couple of S90's, an 82 550 Katana, a ZX 11 and the Aprilia Tuono that took me to Indy and back last September. I believe my bike inventory is about as high as my car/truck inventory
