  2. We went out in my brother's ol' black last weekend. The freshened '40 Merc mill is freeing up nicely and runs cool & strong, it pulled hard over the hills and is fast with Offy heads ( these are new- originals are Offy from '49 ). Also features Speedway grind cam + Pilot headers & dual 97's & pipes. Cam is a little over-the- top to be considered street- friendly- but what speed, what music !
Now we just have to make this car stop! Here it is at a Birdwood gas stop B4 heading east.
p.s. check the paint- '49 nitro black.

This is the first time I have posted any of my art in the Friday Art Show. These are a few of the ones that I will have in the gallery at the Continental Club gallery for the Lone Star Round Up next week.

    Tell me what you think.

  10. DENISE, HERE'S ANOTHER EXAMPLE FOR YOU.

This is a 21" Wacom Cintiq. I logged 40 hours regular time and 49 hours
over time on it last week doing a storyboard. It's an LCD screen that works
as a tablet, in which it mirrors the info on the computer. It also can be used as an enlarged work space, in which you can drag windows from the computer monitor over and onto. I could watch a movie on it while I'm writing you or drawing on my lap top.

I scan most of my car stuff and digitally color those I don't draw using traditional medium such as the Pierson Brothers' coupe.

  11. Great stuff everyone;especially John with those wild dimensional pieces. What I really love about the Friday Art Show is the diversity of talent.
Not much from me this week.I did an Indian the other day at the shop. The pictures show the paint before clearcoating.Used an old can of 1-
Shot Metallic Gold(the leaded kind) with a black outline. All striping done with a Mack size 1 series 10 and the lettering a Mack 940 #2.

You suck man....LOL I want one of those toys. I use a Wacom tablet. How is it to get used to? Is it like drawing on a piece of paper like I was told?

Great art show, as usual, guys!
How about something for Easter...though a bit OT.
I learned this art from my Grandma, who came from the Ukraine back in the early 1900's.
It's called Pysanky, and it's origins date back over 3000 years! How's that for traditional old school?
It's done with dyes and molten wax, on real eggs, instead of One Shot and 00 Macks.
The larges is a Rhea egg, then goose, peacock, duck (a little larger than a chicken egg), and the small one is a quail egg.
Been doing this since I was a little one, over 40 years!

John those are really cool!!! Del looks like you have something really insane brewing there...cant wait to see the finished piece.

  21. fuck wow!!!!

  22. As close as it gets but without all the graphite smudges on the paper and build-up on the side of my hand. I was getting pretty good with a standard tablet but, as I work in Photoshop, still had trouble even tracing a line; this thing cures that pretty well. By necessity, I had to buy this for work* and, a month after doing so I was laid off and told they wouldn't be using these, nor the
animation programs I'd dropped a chunk on either. Well, as it turns out,
the people who have all these things and know how to use them are the ones who will still have jobs as long as the yellow skinned folk grace the small
screen. (and, hopefully, the big screen too.)

*(2K, I'd much have rather put into my car by the way)
