Here are some pics of my old plymouth. All the pics up til the dana poses are when it was mine. I sold it to a hamber in vegas. My father in law said he hopped on the freeway and it come haullin past him so at least its bein drivin right. LOL

I dropped mine by cutting one coil. One coil is about 2 inches. You can get dropped up-rights if you want to go more.

Did you add heat to that intake by running a copper coolant pipe thru it? Clever idea - how did you do it, and how do you keep it from leaking?

 

My 1953 Cranbrook. The grandson and I are assembling the 56 NE56 354 Hemi now.

The front frame will be stubbed out with 2x4 rectangular tubing and either a straight axle or something like a mustang II front end. (Concerned abut the hemi's weight on the Mustang II suspension.

Hemi will be adapted to a 350 Chev Turbo Trans. (have the Hot Heads adapter)
Full lenght headers.
Hemi build is 10.3 to 1 compression with Isky Cam and Hot Heads 4Brl Intake.
I have a 9" Ford Rearend narrowed to 48" hub bolt pattern to bolt pattern.
Since org driveshaft is offset to the driver’s side driveshaft tunnel has to be moved.
We are also now working on new floor pans. (Found them on Ebay) Most all these old Plymouths had rubber floor mats, hence rotten floor pans but the rust didn't go near the body pillars on this car.

I got my license at age 14 and my dad had a 53 Plymouth coupe (his work car) he gave me when i started high school. Dad was a Chrysler mechanic and switched to Buicks in the 60s. I learn to drive and got my license in a 54 Chrysler New Yorker 331 powered hemi. When the high mileage New Yorker laid down dad gave it too me also. I was about 15 then. I wanted to put the 54 Hemi in the Plymouth, back then, but ended up putting the hemi in a 46 Ford coupe. I then got drafted, married so I sold the coupe and hemi. I’ve been kicking myself since. I was looking for a 46 Ford Coupe and went to pate swap meet last year. Didn't find a 46 Ford I wanted but did run across this old Plymouth for 300.00. I am using it to teach the grandson a little Auto Tech the Old School Hot Rodder’s way. He is really interested and it hasn’t been hard to keep his attention up to this point. He told me yesterday, “You know grandpa, time sure does pass fast when you’re having fun”

I also explained to grandson that how much education he will get in college will be directly tied to how much money he makes when he grows up. I told him he would have make allot of money to buy his toys when he grows up. He said" grandpa adults don't have toys, toys are for kids".
I said, "EXCUSE ME??, these are grandpa's toys"

Here's my '52 Cranberry. T-5 swap, cast headers w/ dual exhaust and flame throwers.

 

Painted the wheels and put some 6.70x15's on it. WWW, of course.

 

Bump...Where are all the PLY Business Coupes?

 

I swear I still see this one driving around in Modesto, CA...may or may not be chopped now...

Future plans include a 318/904, drop a few inches,upgrade the wiring, and then drive the hell out of it.

I am gonna be shameless here. This is my 18 yr old sons new project. Whil it may not be a dodge or plymouth, it is a MOPAR. This is a one of 200, 1953 Desoto 9 pass/limos made. It's rough, but we can save it....

This is what I started with. Before I get the coments I know most of you guys hate sub-frame swaps but mine was rusted out and I'm on a shoe string budget.

 

Here is my 51. I'm in the middle of a 273/904 swap and I have a 318 that i'm buildin for a later upgrade. Got sick of drivin round like grandpa!
