These are on a little island near where I live. Pics were taken at around 11pm and heavily photoshopped so the colours are weird.
I drove down the road where I took the pics in my second post on page one last week. I saw bull dozers clearing everything out. I haven't stopped yet to see if the elderly gentleman is still with us. I hate to think what happened to his collection. The town and his neighbors where really giving him a hard time a few years ago. Even though he had owned the property and lived there for years.
I used to work in construction. This house we built was on an old long ago abandoned junk yard. They just pushed everything into the creek. 37 chevy coupe? 39 ford coupe, 52 chevy, late 20's plymouth cowl, old ford/dodge pickup cabs. I got the 7up door just to hang on the wall. I'm going to try to get the plymouth cowl someday. Ratty55
I know most of you folks are not into Volks. In one of the previous posted pictures was a Type34 Ghia. These were never imported to the US.
This was outside of Flagstaff Arizona, I bet I drove by it a thousand times, never noticed it until I was riding with a buddy and got to look out the window for a change.
Wifey sez I'm over the hill - maybe I'll look around this weekend & see if any of these other "oldtimers" came over the same hill . GREAT PICs on this thread!
Not exactly a rod,but still cool. '57 Plymouth out in the woods not too far from my house, been there a loooong time (obviously) and the whole front of the car is sunk into the ground. My buddy is into forward look mopars and said he tried to look at it up close but was chased off by the old lady that lives there or something..
someone already saved this one but he's not going to build it, I have been trying to track him down and work out a deal
Took this Photo last week. Have stopped several times to find out if it was for sale and no one is ever home. This is all you can see from the street. When I enlarge it, it appears to be a 35-36 ford 3 window.
Driving back to Chi-town in '03, my ol' lady really needed to pee, so we stopped at an old gas station north of Chattanoga,(think Deliverance), and we found this out back..............
Just bought the Crosley this winter,(from where it had been parked outside for several years). The Ford truck cabs and the 5 window are still out there. I also bought the 32 sport coupe too!---Old Wolfy
This one showed up after the fires of 2007 in Idaho. 40 Woody. Yes it is being built. All you need is a cowl and you have a beginning.
