Shweeeeet! Gotta say you don't see too many barns with nice spot lights in the ceiling shining on the cars. Now could you just give us the GPS location? I want that one, and that one, and................
OK ... OK ... I can't handle all the PMs ... A clue? ... Note that all of the license plates are pre-1987 issue [i.e., either (yellow on black) '63-'68 plates or (yellow on blue) '69-'86 plates]. ... and the pics were taken no where near Roseville ... way south of you ... think sand dunes. Bingo! ... hence the "History" prefix of this thread. FYI ... Vern Tardel is up in Northern California ... not on the Central California Coast. Not trying to fool anyone ... can't you guys just enjoy looking a some cool old pics of some old cars in a barn? Yep ... "down that way" (from Atascadero) in lovely Guadalupe. Don't know if it has all been sold off ... but I would certainly assume so.
Damn, that is like dangling the baggies in front of the addicts chained to the walls. Sick man for sure. But, damn nice photos none the less.
Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner! Neal ... you posted while I was typing up my multi-quote reply ... Do you want me to forward you all the PMs from the "wolves" offering me a finders fee for these cars? ... you can show them the farm where they used to be
Speed bumps for our brains. ____________________________________________________________ Like I told the kid, "Your music's not too loud, it just sucks and Tulsa would make a great place to hold a NSRA Mini-Nats!"
I think you're more correct than you may think you are. I think those bumps are there to deny cows the pleasure and relief of laying down in that area.
Thanks for sharing the photos. It does get your blood prssure up but just think, there were probably hundreds of similar places a few decades ago and people didn't think twice about them. They were just cars beyond their prime and of no good for transportation anymore. This makes you appreciate the people who saved them even more. Frank
Bruce would be proud of you for posting this!! Been there--Done that!!----Years ago, (early 70's) the LAR club cruised this neat private area in Guadalupe,Ca., Duane McKinney set it up for all the club to see first hand, luckily he had the right connections to get on the private property! Somewhere, I also have the pix I took covering the same dairy barn(s). This was about the same time your dad (Bruce) & Gary were heading up the NSRA West coast Nats events.----Good job!!-----Don
Yeah, I wouldn't exactly classify this as a "Barn Find". Looks like somebody's stash to me. Somebody that works on them and takes them out. I normally think of a "Barn Find" as some old heap that somebody stumbles across and buys or is handed down by some relative about to die ... Nice Rides though .. that's fer sure ....
If the barn floor is dirt. There is a bug that burrows down and creats these little mounds of dirt. We use to get them in our barn all the time.
