Any less holes and you would be restricting the airflow through the radiator. Don't over think this one.

Thanks guys for the input. I am going to paint the car a different color this spring so there will be some contrast. It is way to black.

I dig the all black man, went to your site and checked out the whole car. It's nice to see someone from idaho that gets it. Though I don't even think it needs it, if you are interested in striping it send me a message, I'd love to do it and I'm in Boise frequently. I can send you some pics of my work if your interested; you won't be disapointed.

Actually you can just go to my profile and look at some of my Friday art show posts.

  10. It's original, What most cars should be like, rather than following a trend, do the car how you like it, not how others want it. ;)

    I like it Whit.
I saw a similar one that had the guys state flag painted on it. Looked pretty cool to me.
(referring to what CJ Steak said about striping it)

Even if it is something you could have got from the hardware store, when you make it, it makes it even sweeter!

  16. HUH?

I think it would look killer chromed. I wouldn't try and stripe it, would get too busy. Black may be OK when you paint the body and grille surround another color.

or you could leave it black.. black is the new black!

  18. I like it. To break it up a bit I'd put a grille emblem on it about 1/3rd of the way down. Nothing killer, maybe something you make yourself outa' sheet brass or stainless and a single shiny vertical divider bar.

I was sneaking out to the shop all weekend and drilling a few holes here and there. My wife and I have 3 month old twin boys so my free time is a little limited.
*Cut metal, break, lay out holes 1 hr
    *Drill holes 2.5 hrs
    *Dimple die holes 1.5 hrs
    *install .5 hrs
I would guess 4-5 hrs total.
