I found the green car. It is owned by Hamb'r suhweet61. This is his avatar.

I need to get rid of two of these. I for sure keeping the Imperial but damn if I don't want to keep that Newport now too. That car is so custom looking with just a lowering job. Sigh...Time, money, or space...PICK ONE.

  4. Damn you, stealing all of our good iron from Texas. I decided after looking at the pics, I don't know that I can like you anymore....
Seriously, sweet rides good luck with them.

Scoob! The Imperial is cool... but c'mon man... just eyeball that Chrysler coupe. It's a marvel. ;) I saw your thread on the forwardlook  I hope the big one sells first. :D

yeah, I hope the big one goes first and I do love that Newport but they would be awfully similar cars to have. Plus...

It is neat to see someone else likes 61 chryslers. I have a 61 Newport conv. that is a factory 3 spd. I,ve been told it is somewhat rare. I had it at the HAMB drags my wife raced it. The guy before me put a 300 grill in so every one thinks it is a 300. I also put the long ram on. Fun to get comments on that. Would like to know actual production figures on it. MaxWedge

I just picked mine up last week. Been waiting over 10 years to find one that was a driver, priced right and didn't need everything. It'll need some small rust repair, interior work and different paint but that's about it.

  15. 8thdaycr8 ... great find ... looks to be a real nice car ... what's your plans for paint? ... I'm kinda diggin' the 2-tone concept with the black hardtop.

More than likely I'll keep the two tone look, metal flake on the roof and something suede for the rest of the car. I need to find the side and fin trim as I think it helps the look of the fins.

Not sure on the trunk lid. The skin is rotted away from the inside. The trunk floor is gone.

    Thanks
