John brought the cabriolet today and I pretty much tinkered with it all day.... I love this car so much, I tried to trade him evrything I have today for it. I almost got it when offered to throw in the pup..... haha

Anyway its just so great to be around it.

Is the purple 36 the one with the chrome dash? It looks cool. Salt Flats Speed Shop told me I should do that to mine... I see why he says that now.

Didnt the Okie axles have sharper angles, like a straight piece was welded in for the drop?

Kool pics by the way, sure wish that I was coming down for the round up. I love the merc and the 36, oh and the 3 window and the A. Damn ,I just wish that I was there.

I don't know..... its definately a welded drop, like an Okie, not a filled drop.

I need to pull it apart, but I haven't found any markings..... Its probably a long shot to be an Okie adams axle, but its pretty cool either way...

This update is for whitey..... I thought you were gonna see it in person...... but we dolled up your engine... Luke and Piero cleaned it and painted it.... we borrowed some chrome stuff and an intake from Paul.... and I added my SP strombergs......

Its still just a mocked up roller.... but its starting to look like a Hot Rod!!

This was a fun thread, thanks for sharing Bob! You got some great stuff happening at your shop, sweet looking rides too. Congrat's on the frame, house and pup, they are all too nice and loveable:) Someday i hope to make it out to Texas to visit your shop in person and maybe bug Franco too while i'm out there! Your a blessed man with many talents.
    best wishes,
