go for it, rescue that thing before some turd crushes it or worse street rods it.

  2. Looks very complete. All of the impossible to find trim pieces appear to be there. If you hot rod it (as I assume you intend to do), you probably won't have any trouble selling the original parts you don't use to a restorer to help finance the build. This is a very attractive body style. Chassis Engineering makes everything you need to put practically any drivetrain in just about any chassis. If the body is structurally sound (ie, not rusted away where the floors are joined to the rockers), go for it. Even if you have to pay a little more up front, you're way ahead with a straight solid body with all the hard-to-find trim pieces intact. It can be easier to find a complete running original engine than to find that elusive little piece of stainless trim.

If it is a car you like get it and make it yours. Build it the way you want. If you dont want it pass the info on to someone who is looking for a 40 olds and save it for the crusher. Tomany times the owner passes on and the family just see a old car dead in the shed and thinks knowone would want it . Off to the scraper it goes. Save it

X2!! It's worth whatever you can afford.
I have always loved this chopped Olds sedan. (Note the raked windshield.)

Remember, just because something is rare doesn't make it worth anything. If you intend on keeping it forever, by all means. However if you anticipate selling it down the road....there aren't many guys paying top dollar for Oldsmobiles.

True in a sense but that mainly means don't go overboard with changes if you plan to sell it.

Outside of the nose it's still the basic appearance of a GM 40 something coupe and what works on Chevs or Buicks will work on it.

It would be easy to keep all Olds with a 350 R or 455 out of an early 70's 88 or 98.
