Can someone tell me how hard it would be to bag my Merc..?? Is this something that can be done by somebody that has never done it before, or should i leave it to the pros...?? I live in Lancaster, Ca. So if anyone can give me a line on a shop, or info on doing it myself, i would appreciate it... Just come back from Viva, and i have to bag it..... Also, if i was to take it to a shop, how much would this cost about..?? Would i need to have a 2 piece drive shaft to put it on the frame..??

    Thank you, Ed...

Well,I would have a pro do it,and price depends on who you find to do it.You're looking at anywhere from $1600 to $3000

If you want to bag your car and you havent done it before or have no welding skills..yes you need a shop to do it.There are alot of things that need to be taken into consideration like how low you want,c-notch or not, what type of bags you want ,compressors etc.dont forget ride quality ,pinion angle, bag placement, whats your frame like, rust ,no rust, cutting your floor up, lots of ****.We have seen some hack jobs here on the hamb so a reputable shop is needed. fish around here on the hamb and find a shop near you, make sure you see there work before committing. But most important whats your budget?...good luck

I know it's a long drive, but Starlite Rod and Kustom in Torrance did mine. Give them a call 310-328-5222

Why bags?? Why not lowering blocks and some drop spindles?

Well for me personally I want to be able to squat it when it is sitting and bring it back up to ride height when taking off. Hydros are a nasty kind of roughness to use for that purpose, and bags ride smooth.
