http://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/cto/1105303673.html How different is the 2door from the 4 door? I swear it looks so much like a 2 door in the picture, it has to be close. How hard would it be??
Doesn't look like a 2 door to me. Has 4 doors ... ?? The difference? One has 2 doors and one has 4 doors .. ?? Nice lookin' ride though ...
the doors on the two door are longer than that of a four door, it appears to be a super clean car though
You'll need the longer 2 door sedan doors and a big section of the quarters including door jamb and window frame from a 2 door post donor car to swap it over. The C pillar of the 4 door sedan is a lot different than the 2 door C-pillar so using the old 4 door rear door as a filler is not going to work if you want it to look like stock. But yes, it is very do-able. So-Cal Tex did a recent tech on a conversion that you could use as a guide, I would do it the way he did it for a seamless, factory correct look. I would consider a conversion on that car to be a worthwhile undertaking if you have the parts car to do it. If you see one in a direct side shot, it's obvious how much shorter the front door is compared to a 2 door sedan, so if you're thinking about welding the rear door shut, forget about it, it'll look like***** and be super obvious. But to do it right with the correct parts is very possible.

C-post is a lot different on the 4dr from the 2-door. $3500 is a lot for a 4-door '54 Chevy that's not perfect, to turn around and hack up.
Not sure what happened to all Sam's photos, but maybe you can get something from this thread anyways. Procedure done on a 52... so vaguely similar to the 54. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=289240
