Is this how you entice people into buying your book? Interesting strategy. :D Truth is, as I poured over the seemingly endless photos of great looking race cars (thanks again), I somehow failed to notice that Dr. John is, in fact, John Bisci, author of the book depicted as his avatar.

I apologize for ALSO failing to note his name at the bottom portion of the post, as my focus was on the cars. That is why I asked the question "where do you guys get this stuff?" (which was a rhetorical question to begin with and mostly directed at Bullfather).

So apparently I should pay closer attention to each person that posts a message, eh? I guess I will go find a place to park my ass while I look at more fine pics. Later.

  8. I've posted before that none of these photos are mine, but a collection over time from various websites. It's the history that I love bringing to the table!

You might want to try registering there again, Chris. Sounds like there may have been a glitch in the system. You should get approval right away.

Isn't this the Ford that ABC TV caught in a wild multiple flip at Daytona in the Permatex/Sportsman race? I know it was Troyer.

I've never seen that one before. That was NASTY. Must have scrambled his brains pretty good!

The car looks like a Torino or a Cyclone.

I believe it was a Torino. After the wreck Maynard had it crushed into a cube and it sat behind his barn for many years.

You're right, it was a Torino. I watched it again and the announcer called it a "Ford". In any case, it wasn't much of a car after that roll. It's amazing he wasn't seriously injured. Sorry if I got off topic here.....back to the Modifieds?..........

A great looking coupe! Check out Roger Burdicks' #54 alongside Richie Massing in the #14 coach, followed by Bob Merz in the 18.
