Ah lighting, that's an issue. On my other modified; the AoS, I made them removeable and I'm planning to do the same with this build, but come up with a different method. Thanks.

Actually, I am leaning toward an oval T tank, I actually want to maintain some utilitarian look to the car.

I'm not sure of the proper HAMB etiquette, as to whether I should respond to every compliment, but I want to say thanks to all (even you Emil :D) for the encouragement.

The area of North Carolina that I live in has precious few people that "get it", so it feels good to get feedback from fellow rodders and builders. :)

The photo of me sitting in the car, was done to give everyone an idea of the scale, my buddy Doc did the shot. I look like a***** in the pic, I was going to do a goofy pose ala Kirk!, but I figured that would only make things worse!

An issue I'm going to have to deal with is heat in the*****pit. It was 90 here in NC yesterday and was quite warm inside the car. The hood and the belly pan are to be lovered, but I may have to place some forward facing louvers underneath the car to create flow.

I'm proud to be livin in the same state as Rich, like he says , very few people get it around here. I've always enjoyed your cars when I see them, as they are always interesting to look at and full of details and ideas! This latest one just blows me away. Do you do your own designs, or do you have somebody else draw them up? Where do you get your inspiration?:D

Looks great - possibly one of the few cars that would suit a set of E&J torpedo headlights? Especially if it is to be left in bare metal.

Hey Cory! Thanks. Inspiration is everywhere. I'm no artist, I just do crude sketches to get an idea of where I'm headed.

Your good. Can we see a picture of it from the back. I wondering if ya came up with a gas tank idea yet?

I'm still working the tank deal out.

Here's a few more images. The excess alminum of the belly pan sides in the "floor" area will be trimmed later when I do the bottom panel.

That car has everything right going for it :) .

A dry sump? There goes the budget build!!;).

I really like the nose and tapered look to the rear. That baby looks like it's going 100mph sitting still  .

    Killer car Rich................

I used to own one of Rich's creations.....The L A Special Roadster. Rich is very creative and does exellent fabrication!!

  23. I'm late getting to this car. It's amazing!! This is the kind of stuff that keeps us all thinking out of the box.
If and when I get the greaseslapper finished my next one is going to have to be a modified. These are the most individual cars out there. Mike

Here's an idea for the tank: a round tank mounted vertically.

I think it works with a couple of you design elements. It should line up with the narrow spring mount and fill in the tall space behind the body.

Yeah I know, but I don't want a 2 gallon decoration hanging on the side. I hope to pull a rabbit out of my***** with some industry connections.

    (Rocky) "That's not a rabbit!"
